Clearing Up the Confusion
HELL YEAH!!!!!!
THIS SHOULD BE THE E-MAIL OF THE YEAR......HELL YEAH!
Bet you stand up and say "HELL YEAH!" after you read this. If the
man/woman who wrote this ran for PRESIDENT I would VOTE for him or her.
I like big cars, big boats, big motorcycles, big houses and big campfires.
I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some governmental
stooge with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts for
squirting out babies.
Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can
kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you
from driving to the ball game.
I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, that is why there
are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts!
I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is
an opinion.
I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except
numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are
things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black
Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like
the United
Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or
Miss White America and see what happens. Jesse Jackson will be knocking
down your door.
I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because they are different,
weird, or tick me off.
When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of
the population is black, that's not racial profiling, it is the law of
statistics.
I know what sex is, and there are not varying degrees of it. If I received
sex from one of my subordinates in my office, it wouldn't be a private
matter or my personal business. I would be "FIRED" immediately!
I believe that if you are selling me a milk shake, a pack of cigarettes, a
newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact,
if you want to be an American citizen you should have to speak English! My
father and grandfather shouldn't have to die in vain so you can leave the
countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.
I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry ass if you
threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word
"freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines.
I feel much safer letting a machine with no political affiliation recount
votes when needed. I know what the definition of lying is.
I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are
qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or
tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or
any other business. We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries
and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms so that decades later
they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document
and open to their interpretations.
I don't hate the rich.
I don't pity the poor.
I believe a self-righteous liberal or conservative with a cause is more
dangerous than a Hell's Angel with an attitude.
I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue
to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system
that's better and put your name on the building. Ask your buddy that
invented the Internet to help you.
It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a
parent to stand up to the kid and smack their little a**es when
necessary and say "NO."
"I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't
pretend they are a political statement. And please stay home until that new
lip ring heals, I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you
serve me fries!
I am sick of "Political Correctness" and of all the suck ups that go along
with it. I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was
born in Africa, so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a
continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my
great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am
proud to be from America and nowhere else.
And if you don't like my point of view, tough shit!
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!

Re: Clearing Up the Confusion
Yawn. How any places on the Internet is this thing going to get posted before some other bunch of cliches gets going? If we dropped this on our enemies it would be cheaper than guns because it would bore them to death.
Personally there's nothing wrong with any of your feelings except they aren't yours, and if you really didn't care what anyone thought you wouldn't post them. Intelligent people make their own way, have their own thoughts and don't stand there shouting at their PC monitors about it.
You wrote down all your canned and freeze dreid beliefs then dared anyone to disagree.
No, you don't care what we think...not you. Thanks for the sleeping pill.

Re: Clearing Up the Confusion
I don't mean this to be as rude as it sounds. It's more of a philosophical question. . . .
What makes you think I want to hear your point of view?
Good for you, you have opinions, now let me have mine without being hassled.
live and let live, as they say.

Re: Clearing Up the Confusion
This probably should have been posted in the Jokes, Links & Levity Board, but oh well.
I'd imagine that some people will be upset by it, because some (not all) of it is pure common sense.
Perhaps I'm showing my age when I sit back and read it and have this view, I don't know!
However, it's not overly polite - nor even called for - to put down a member for posting something like this. This is what this forum was created for. If the original post strikes a nerve that makes you feel like flaming the poster, then stop and think for a moment.
I seriously doubt if he posted it specifically to annoy YOU. (Whoever YOU may be.)

Re: Clearing Up the Confusion
Right you all are. But when you post something with the last word being, If you don't like it tough shit, it comes off as more of a demand for a response.
He has a right to do or think what he wants. if i didn't agree with that I wouldn't be registered on htis site.
And i won't even try to justirfy my over-reaction.
Please continue to feel what you fell.
But allow me to disagree about having to speak English. My grandparents and soem aunts and uncles came over from Italy and some never did learn English. But they worked, paid taxes raised children who did special things and it never hurt anyone because they didn't speak English.
I guess what i reacted to was that i get those "FW: read this fw.fw" e-mails all the time with about 75 percent of the statements studlover made. What it SOUNDS like is he is sayhing his opinion is worth more and more valid than an opposing view. I was just stating my reaction, not trying to flame the gent.
You can feel and say these things without challenging anyone else to disagree. People who are secure in their beliefs don't need to get mad about them.
Surely anyone who loves studs is okay in my book. Or bed.
So please allow me to tender my regrets if i came off as flaming. It is still a free country -- we all hope.
That said, what is wrong with having a multi-lingual nation? It works for Canada, and most other countries have incorporated English into their social code to accommodate Americans who visit or live there.

Re: Clearing Up the Confusion
Yankee masha, you not only have one of the most intriguing and nice nicks but you never "flame". Your response was bang on.
We all should aim to live in a caring world, it sounds like middle class twaddle but give me a place of hope and an ear of empathy
and I think the whole world (and the arguments posted at the start of this thread are thought of by many people, many places.
I have a deep hope that beyond all that there are people and places that offer inspiration and that somehow instead of facing
"dumbing down" we can neutralise that by our greater understanding. And Yankee, your avatar is cool too!

Re: Clearing Up the Confusion
I thought that the USA already had a President whose party espouses, albeit often very quietly, many of the views replicated by Studlover?

Re: Clearing Up the Confusion
to my family, In any society, the members have to contribute to the public good but politicians carry this much too far.
Guns do not make you a killer. Guns make it easier for one to kill another. In the United States of America, the Constitution guarantees its citizens the right to bear arms. However, with any right there is responsibility.
Can you imagine any court upholding a boys right to become a Girl Scout?Studlover (imported) wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2003 4:58 pm they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason Girls belong in the Girl Scouts!
Their rights should be protected, however, the basic fiber of society shouldnt be changed. The sanctity and rights of marriage belong to a couple which consists of one woman and one man.Studlover (imported) wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2003 4:58 pm I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion.
Very true and the courts have even found such things to be unconstitutional.Studlover (imported) wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2003 4:58 pm I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. But we do not have the right to harm them unless they break the laws of society and there is due process for that.Studlover (imported) wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2003 4:58 pm I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off.
. Our courts have gone too far in limiting that basic right.Studlover (imported) wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2003 4:58 pm It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid and smack their little a**es when necessary and say "NO

When you elect to join any society, you should be obligated to live within the laws of that society and not seek special treatment for merely personal reasons. If you break the laws, you should be punished like anybody else; whether you are a minority, whether you have money, or whether you have power and position.
Me too! What other country in the world allows you so much freedom? Many countries will shoot you on sight for the least infraction.Studlover (imported) wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2003 4:58 pm I am sick of "Political Correctness" and of all the suck ups that go along with it.

Smacking a kid to discipline him only teaches him to use physical violence to solve his confrontations with others. I sometimes whack my dog across the nose with a couple of fingers to get her attention, but never my kid. I have no problem saying no. The key is consistency. If the kid knows what to expect from you, you won't need to resort to physical violence.

Re: Clearing Up the Confusion
I think the most impressive thing that stands out in every one of these posts is that each one of us has expressed respect and tolerance for other viewpoints. That makes me feel really safe for some reason, that I am posting on a Board where everyone is so kind, tolerant and respectful of each other. Thank you for acknowledging my presence here. I am humbly grateful to be connected with you all.
