Tis the Season.

So often I see on TV the advertisements for a Play called The Nutcracker. as such, it is no surprise to think of this site and it's subject matter. So, what stories are there involving a nutcracker applied in our manner of usage?

I always liked the 80's release of The Nutcracker by the Pacific Northwest Ballet Co.

As for the nutcrackers I've seen, and the one I use for walnuts, you'd have to have pretty large testicles to get them to work!

I remember hearing the guy who wrote it always thought it wasn't very good. Except for the dance of the sugar plum fairies. Oh damn! there's another potential joke. But I'm surprised this play hasn't been brought up on this site before in this manner.

In my opinion, is this about the Nutcracker nuts?

But I, a ballet lover, should not be trusted because of my perverted nature :) .

A stunningly beautiful video! Young PNB ballet dancers work amazingly!

I can’t resist expressing my admiration for their dedication to the beloved work of their whole life ...

(Thanks Paolo for reminding me of the Pacific Northwest Ballet)

There's a streaming service called Marquee TV that streams a number of ballet performances. I'm sure they have a contemporary version of the Nutcracker. I saw a performance in theater shortly before the pandemic and it's much more enjoyable than one might imagine from watching old recordings. Ballet has evolved quite a bit since the 80s.
