For example, Xyn felt like Jayk because he saw that he did not have one from the fingers on his hand, and also that he was nullo.

It turns out that there is a technical device capable of disabling Psi abilities if it is in the immediate vicinity of the mutant.

These abilities are also impaired when the mutant is injected with high doses of testosterone.

The kid blushed a couple of times near the end there, almost getting "caught" with them coupons.

But not only do I think daddy should keep "getting it" and encourage his son to join the growing group of cute lil unux, but also that daddy himself should get the honor of having his own foster son's balls pricked.

The only thing they seem to forget is the massaging before and after that is adviced in the pamphlet (Neutersol - What You Need To Know), or do these new nuts-cup shaped injectors contain an upgraded formula.

So glad to see this, Paolo, totally fun. I was worried there towards the end of this chapter; seemed like good Sir Lank was gonna do the wrong thing, but it seems I was only fooled by his tamed-lion sense of humor. Nice one! And then you twirled it all up with a job offer that Mr. Didn't-even-know-he-was-a-dad-multiple-times-over accepted. Woo, and also Hoo!

What a romp (both conversationally and technically). But... I've seen your serious side in other works, which are always also deeply heartfelt, with their darker tone that allow glimpses of the light in you.

But when that past dark and serious experience bleeds into the characters here it just adds such... flavor. This is like a fluffy meringue with a heavy and thick bottom crust.

Maybe that's because he had a head start learning about eunuchism?

Maybe if he'd spent less time researching Eunuchs and more time on the history of the English language, he'd remember that the pronoun "you" started life as the plural form to thee/thou, before it took on its usage as either singular or plural.

So using "they/them" as singular would not be a completely unique pronoun development, and maybe he'd still have his job as token dinosaur among history teachers.

Okay, first things first; you need to be told that your quality of writing is awesome. I have volunteered to edit some stories on another site, and while most are technically well written, few have the overtones you manage to include.

Further to that, check out the voice you are using this time; I've NEVER seen you immerse your stories in such a different tone. You are writing this as if it was written 'at the time', and your word selection and phrasing is just a total joy to read.

This is not to take away from the fact I just love the subject matter. I normally prefer modern tales, but this one, the way it normalizes castration (and circumsicion... trust YOU to make me start to like a whole new interest!) in an era so close to today that it feels recent that the whole subject is dealt with in a way that there is no 'suspension of disbelief' required for me; it just reads as if it happened.

And there is no higher praise I can heap than that!

... other than to send you the biggest, hugest, most heart-felt THANK YOU for returning to writing. You owe this board nothing, you have every reason to NOT submit a story for many reasons, but here you are.

I just love this story SO MUCH! People don't realize just how true to life this story actually is. This isn't a story about things that never happened in America. This is a story about what ACTUALLY happened in America, and all around the globe at the time in history in which this story is set.

The characters and setting are fictional. What happened to the boys and the reasons it was done are not. Historical fiction this may be, but the emphasis is on the HISTORICAL. People living today have forgotten so much of what was "normal" less than 100 years ago. This story reminds them.

Great alternative history. It's only slightly off what is taught in our history books, much of it, much more than most would think, is real. I appreciated the references to Kellogg and to the Better Baby contests. The castration of institutionalized boys, of course, did happen in several states, though not quite in the numbers that you've created in Blue Creek.

Alternative histories have always been one of my favorite types of fiction and this is one of the best yet.
