Hot flashes ended about 6 months after I stopped T. I stopped in August 2018 and I was fine by March 2019.

The liver issue was caused by low T. Non-alcoholic fatty liver. I was 6 months away from chronic liver failure. I restarted T at the same level I was using about 8 years ago and my liver condition resolved in 6 months.

It is a known complication of low T. I am 43, I reduced my T level over about 6 years from the time I was 34 until 40.

Now I have to deal with the high hematocrit and red blood cell production from the T.

When did you start to have hot flashes after stopped TRT, for a period of 10 weeks without TRT, I did not experience anything, only mood changes.

I stopped in August 2018, at that point I was taking about 0.3 mL of 125mg/mL IM testosterone ethanate. Twice per month.

Hot flashes happened end of October and November. So about 3-4 months after last injection.

I can see if I have records of T levels from around that time.

Right CBD sorry might have autocorrected on me.

I went without testosterone for the first year after castration. The hot flashes started at about two months post castration. For me they seemed to happen mostly mid day while working as opposed to night sweats. They didn't last long and had mostly ended by the six month mark.

Hot flashes for me are like living in he'll, they are full on with sweat pouring off me like I just got out of a sauna.

They would happen during the day and at night which made it hard to sleep. I tried for a over a month but could never get over them.

The thing to stop them was the worst thing was to go back and have testosterone back in my body.

Would love to know how to get pass that stage of have them

The claim is that going on Estradiol (preferably patches or injections) will provide the same health benefits that supplemental T would provide (bone health, mental health, etc....) AND get rid of the hot flashes... Only arguable downside is that it will make you get :boobies: (some like that idea...) My doc requires me to do some sort of HRT, because of the bone health risk I already have due to my SCI, and I didn't want to do T... Being on E works for me, but I never had any real problem w/ hot flashes between my first Lupron chemical castration shot (which definitely got me to undetectable T levels) and starting on the estradiol patches.

My urologist checks my liver and hematocrit every six months. I have always been on some amount of T, except when she prescribed no T for three months after a high RBC level. When I was without it or only using a low prescribed dosage I sweat profusely when working outside in the summer sun. Once she increased my dosage to a normal amount, the sweating subsided.

Hot flashes for me increased incrementally during the one month after my castration where I went without any hormones at all, to the point I had to go outside in only shorts to cool down. It was pretty cold back then, thankfully so I got cooled down quickly.

Since then I have tried numerous times to get off testosterone completely and only manages to day 4 or Max. day 5, then I have to restart applying testogel again, this because of hot flashes and insomnia which starts to come back.

It seems for me, that 1/3 of my normal dose of TRT keeps me away from both issues, sure I don’t have the same level of energy etc. but it’s manageable for me, sleep is ok, and hot flashes also way down, although not completely gone, I can occasionally feel I’m heating up a bit.

To emphasize, this is my experience and may be different for others.
