I still love my little hometown newspaper....

Post by Losethem (imported) »

A month or so ago I posted about the overdramatic writing in my little hometown newspaper. Now, they make a faux-pas in their editing in a story about a car accident.

From the article:

A late-night crash on (road) in (town) left an (other town) man pinned inside a van.

When first responders arrived on the scene, they found a U-Haul rental van upside down and smashed into a large tree stump near (road). The (state patrol) reported that the driver, 40-year-old James Johnson, was trapped inside the van. A (county) Fire Department crew assisted in the extrication of the Johnson.

Which leads me to believe the guy driving the van got himself out, then reached down to his crotch and went, "Oh &%$!!!!!! Where did it go?"

I would love to see them post a "correction" explanation....

Maybe I'm wrong, but as far as I understand, the guy was looking for his cell phone, and not what we all thought? :)
