"Brandon's Life"
A very pleasant, readable story that held my interest, for which Erik is to be congratulated. Two thumbs up!

Re: "Brandon's Life"
While Brandon's Life is not my favorite of Erik's stories, I'm always happy to see someone write comments about one of the older stories on the Archive. The only reward that our authors receive is the private e-mails and the comments on this board. If there are ANY older works that you would like to thank the author for writing or recommend to new Archive readers, consider posting a review here. The original 6 chapters of Brandon's Life were posted two years ago today.
It would also be nice if you posted a direct link to the story so that it will be easier to find. Here are the links to the three parts of Brandon's Life:

Brandon's Life: Chapter-7

Brandon's Life Chapter 8

My favorite of Erik's stories is The Rite of Manhood. It's well written and might even fit a mainstream publication. Highly recommended!

Re: "Brandon's Life"
Although responses on this board and emails are greatly appreciated, there are other rewards for writing stories, the main one being the enjoyment of thinking them up-then living them as they're being written. The number of hits they receive is also an indicator of whether they're appreciated. If I had to depend strictly on email or board responses, I'd never write another story. In less than a week my last story, "Too Friendly," has received almost 7000 hits. I've had one email and Charlie wrote me a nice note on the board.
