Officially gone
Just an update.....had my orchie on april 29 this year. I haven't noticed any difference in moods, depression, etc. Maybe because my wife was going through a lot of medical issues herself. Sex drive is down though at this time. But again, cant tell if its due to everything going on or what. I had a scrotal orchie, and couple days after, the sac inside swelled up and I thought dr had put in prosthetic. It stayed swollen inside for couple weeks. Still have some internal swelling inside where he cut and removed it, but no pain at all. My wife was actully scheduled for one of her surgeries at same time mine was, so after my orchie, a friend drove me home and after about 2 hrs of coming off anesthesia, I was driving to her hospital. Never had pain at all, just a little stiff. incision site was a little sore, but went to work next day. Figured I would document all this here where someone may be able to use it while it is still fresh on my mind.

Thanks for the update! Your Experience, Strength, and Hope add to the group. You can either use this thread as a way to keep updating or every member gets a blog. I'd recommend the blog for a series of updates on the same topic.
Thanks again!

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll notice more and more change over time once things settle down with you and your wife. One of the big symptoms of my loss of libido is that I no longer find myself scanning the bodies of attractive women. My eyes are drawn primarily to their faces. I still appreciate feminine beauty, but with no desire to have sex with them. My wife likes the new me and we are happily celibate together. As has been said by others, if you no longer desire sex, then you don't miss it at all. There's so much more to life after being liberated from that infernal male sex drive.

Re: Officially gone
Wow ! Congrats ! Your dr must have done a great job for you to have so little pain or work loss. Almost less than a vasectomy to get yourself fully castrated. Did you get your surgery done under local and watching it being done ? Was it over fast and you walked out of his office like it was nothing ? Let us know how fast you heal up and feel the full effects of being castrated. Thanks for sharing a really well done surgery outcome.

Re: Officially gone
Now days they do it in operating room. was in surgery for about an hour. I told my dr to have coffee ready after and I would recover faster. Nurse had me a cup waiting.
Didnt take long to wake up. got up, peed, sipped coffee and put my clothes back on. Going for my follow up visit today. Feeling great so far tho. I havent seen any down sides to it yet. Will keep yall posted.

Re: Officially gone
It sounds like you took your gelding like it was nothing. Hardly more than a dr s visit in pain or trauma to you. Glad to hear you are healing up so well. And that you are pleased with the results. How has your healing process been ? Are you feeling or noticing any effects yet ? Thanks for sharing your experience with other men who are thinking of getting castrated. The more men who share their castration experiences, the more info men have to make their own decisions with. And know what to expect ? Did anything surprise you about your surgery or healing so far ? You sound really tough and like it was easy for you to decide and get cut.

Congrats bro ... welcome to the club! Any sign of sexual urges or totally no libido at this point?

Re: Officially gone
Congratulations on the procedure back in April and welcome to the club.
Hope you are enjoying your new status and the freedom it gives you.
I still like to play around with my hormone therapy from time to time just to see where it takes me.
I still haven't fully worked out where I want to be..
