Chemical castration as test run.

How comparable is chemical castration to surgical castration? Is it a good comparison?

I am thinking of trying a chemical castration to be sure this is what I want.

A test run of chemical castration is strongly recommended. At least six months would be best. You would understand what the consequences of surgical would feel like by then and it would still be reversible by simply stopping use of the chemicals. Depending on where you live, finding someone to prescribe the drugs might be relatively easy and having a track record of using them would help you to find a cooperating surgeon should you decide that it was the right decision.
