And thx @TopManFL for the nice plug for Ranger, he swoll with pride when he heard you say 17” was nearly as big as him!!

Hey Rog,

Ranger is pretty easygoing. Well, as long (pun intended) as I let him use my computer whenever he wants. To keep the peace, I just gave him remote access. We tried to use Zoom so he could just tell me what he wanted but, Zoom wasn't made for a manner of beast such as Ranger In a zoom meeting all you see are people's heads and Mr. Ranger takes three of those little zoom boxes just to fit his head in. I tried using that new app called Ranger Tamer but, the free version ran out after five minutes, and Ranger was insulted that I thought he needed taming. So, now he can just remotely logon to my computer.

I've never been comfortable with the cloud for storing all my files. Instead, I follow the Paolo method and store all my non OS files on external sticks. Then, I back up the sticks to other sticks. I keep three "generations" of sticks. That way in case a stick goes bad, I don't lose very much and sometimes I don't lose anything at all.

So, all I had to do was reinstall my program files. It just always seems to take longer than I would expect.

I used to use external hard drives and then back up the hard drives to each other using a program that would run at night. But, now that I'm not working, I'm finding there is far less urgency to do that.
