Sorry for the Absence - Back Now

Hey all,

I was out of commission for a while. Apparently, we are born with several organs that are not really needed for life but, that will suddenly get infected and kill us if they aren't surgically removed.

Who the hell thought this idea up? Really! My appendix almost killed me when I was ten. Then, my thyroid almost killed me 7 years ago.

This time it was my gallbladder and I think that took a great deal of gall for it to muster up the courage to get that bad.

Long story short, one and a half weeks of being sick out of the hospital, in the hospital, and then surgery. All of which was followed by 3 days in the hospital and now at home IV infusions of antibiotics.

So, that's what I've been doing for fun. What about all the rest of y'all?
