One anime movie that might be interesting to this audience was called "Your Name." It was about a young man and woman who kept waking up in each others' bodies. It turned out the girl was in a town that was going to be wiped out by an asteroid. The interesting plot twist was that he lived in her future and tried, against all odds, to save her and the town....

Apparently in Japan this was the first non-Studio-Ghibli film to get a Studio Ghibli sized box office. (If you know anything about Anime, you've almost certainly heard of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki. If you haven't you need to watch "Spirited Away" or "My Neighbor Totoro" both are the kind of "kids' movie" that you take a kid to mainly so you won't look out of place going there by yourself.)

There are some eunuch characters in anime and manga.

The most examples are Edogai Yasaku in Golden Kamuy, and Suzuya Juuzou in Tokyo Ghoul. Both are castrated by their mothers.

The male protagonist of Kuma Miko is a bear, who claims to have been castrated in order to prevent him from hurting the heroine (although another character doesn't believe it).

More characters can be found in mangas less famous.

In 家畜人ヤプー(Yapoo the Livestock People), Asians were treated like domestic animals. They have no human rights, and may get castrated and abused.

Protagonists of Mystery Eve time travelled to a female-dominated world, where all men are castrated, and people reproduce through artificial insemination.

Many Chinese-style fantasy manga(written by Japanese authors) take place in the emperor's harem, so it's not surprising that some main roles are eunuchs.
