Well.... Wasn't that special. I'm not sure if it's that I've been in our community as long as I've been, or something else, but I saw no value in this lecture.

LT was a lot kinder than I would be. The "lecture" was a collection of stereotypes and misinformation. I saw nothing of use in it, except to cite as a bad example of research. I wouldn't know where to start with correcting the flaws. There were far too many of them. My advice would be to not waste an hour watching it.

So I am always confused when I hear about the " rock star castrati". Their sexual prowess supposedly legendary. So either the female socialites embellished the reports, so as not to be the woman who couldn't excite the eunuch to perform. I presume these guys were not on HRT. When I was prescribed spironolactone, the Dr made a big deal of what the sexual side effects are. Did I understand what this meant, was I ready for that and is it what I really want? So what's the truth? What was these guys secret. They were castrated as boys, so no experience to recall and crave.

Here is why...

1. The lecturer is completely off the mark regarding eunuch history and horribly misrepresents us in the modern day.

2. The example he presents for what eunuchs are in the modern day is what happened about 25 years ago with the Heaven's Gate cult. Those people were lunatics! I'd say the vast majority of us on here and other sites who have had these surgeries in the intervening 25 years, are mostly NOT lunatics.

3. He calls transgendered people transexuals, which today is widely seen as a pejorative/insulting term to the transgender community.

4. He is telling his impressionable students, in a baccalaureate level university course, that they need to take to heart and memorize what he is "teaching" them as they may come upon individuals such as those he's presented, and they need that as their basis for how to provide treatment and interaction with them. I'd not wish those psychiatrists on any one of us, as what he is presenting is a specific example of how they should NOT treat gender non-conforming people.

5. He's leaving his psychiatrists in training thinking that all of us who wish to have these changes to our bodies, are going to be like those Heaven's Gate lunatics. We're not!

6. I could keep going, but it's not really worth it. Bottom line, this "lecture" is complete bullshit. I'd not bother watching if you've not already done so.

I had to look at the video's post date a few times to make sure it was posted in 2020, not ten or twenty year ago. In the last few years there has been at greater understanding why some people want castration and nullification.
