can't log in to chat room. was using adobe but they dropped that so I have tried the regular log in but nothing shows but the banner.

Be sure to choose the option for the NEW CHAT CLIENT, that should take care of it. Good luck!

The IRC room is up and there are about 40 people in there right now. Is it a windows/flash issue for you? If so, find an IRC Client you like.

I use NetTalk IRC. But, there are many others.

Then, just connect using these settings:

eamain.hopto.org

Port: 7000

Any IRC client will work.

One other problem MIGHT (notice the might) be your DNS isn't finding the server. If that is the case, you just need to change your DNS to a public open DNS.

Google offers a free DNS of

8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4

Okay, if anyone experiences issues with chat room - search no further - chat server experienced total burndown at work and now smells of burnt sparklers and triggers circuit breakers.

I am working on it, should be up pretty soon one way or another.

Okay, server looks functional now, at least from the chatty side And should be working okay.
