Colleagues of ours in Canada are collaborating with a urologist, who does gender affirming surgeries and who is willing to do orchiectomies for individuals who seek

“emasculation without feminization.”

Our colleagues want to collect some research data, on a voluntary basis, from individuals who come to that clinic for orchiectomies only.

Whether those clients would be eligible for the surgery or not would be totally independent of whether they participated in the survey research. But the survey would be asked of them both at the time of their surgery and at two or three times over th

Other than verifying awareness of the pros and cons of the procedure, I can't think of anything else. I believe this procedure should be offered on an informed consent basis

ther than questions and answers that could or would jeopardize patient privacy, such as personal identifiers, I can't think of anything.
