A Castration Option: reundescening resticles.

Post by dickb1938 (imported) »

Just wondering. I've taken Androcur three different times for several months at a time. I no longer have any real libido and don't want it, have already had a vascectomy, and think having testicles is not needed. Instead of having my testicles removed surgically, might it be possible to just shove them back into the abdomen via the inguinal canal? That way, they'd be out of sight (Yea! :)) and I would want scrotal reduction afterwards for a smooth appearance.

At first, it sounds like a great idea.... but alas, not such a good idea to put your testicles back up inside. Inside the body, with higher temperature than in the scrotal sac will not stop sperm production but it will kill the sperm so you will be sterile and that is a desirable thing, but the testosterone is still going to be produced and it is just as effective as ever - not good. Finally, and this is the clincher, there is a much higher rate of testicular cancer for testicles that are up inside the body, something about the elevated temperature must be causing it but I am not a doctor and I don't really understand why.

Too bad that such a seemingly simple and effective solution comes with that risk of cancer, otherwise it would have probably been the best and most popular method for birth control already.

If you read his profile, at age 82, I'm not sure if testicular cancer is his chief concern. Having suffered from the emotional pain of knowing my genitals were correct for my gender, but didn't belong on my body, his motivation may be more achieving a feeling of comfort in his own body/skin for once in his life.
