It did not seem to try to sensationalize or "put down" the eunuch community and seemed relatively well-balanced. I'm pretty sure googling will turn it up immediately; if not I can post a link. It might even be instructive to ask your questioner what he was thinking of publishing beyond that. (Bwaa-Haa-Haa)![]()

This thread is a year old, and at this point the article and author mentioned has already been published. Surprisingly, it was a relatively decent piece... this time. Mostly they've been hatchet jobs on the community, so this was a pleasant surprise. Still, while not completely flattering, which I'd not expect any article to be, it was much better than previous articles which had been written.

Since I feel like the article was fair I don't see why it shouldn't be shared here. Let me know if I'm incorrect in that assumption. You may need to open it in a private tab since the Daily Beast does have a subscription fee to read unlimited articles.

I agree that the article seemed pretty fair and reasonable, especially given when it was published - a year or two before the release of SOC v.8 (I don't know what it's draft status was at that time...
The headline and cover photo (which IMHO was sort of cute, but then look at my icon...) was on the sensational side, the article itself struck me as pretty fair and reasonable...
While it mentioned some of the bad stuff, It didn't seem like it was trying to sensationalize it, but rather give a balanced view of the risks and reasons for people looking for the services of a cutter. They also made mention of the increased access to 'official' medical care and how that has cut down on the number of cutters (pun intended
)... I assume that this is a trend that has continued and hopefully will continue to do so...
