Dealing with the Pandemic

Post by NovaMike (imported) »

How is everyone dealing with the pandemic? It has been half a year and I feel so frustrated.

I am single and live alone. That was never a problem in the past, but now it is very isolating. I am not into dating and haven't been on one in 20 years. I miss getting out of the house, seeing people, and just being able to go window shopping. At the beginning of the year, I thought this might finally be the year that I have the courage to become a eunuch, and then the pandemic started. I find myself obsessed by it more than ever before. I don't know if it is just having more time with nothing to do or if something else has changed.

I have played with banding and even tried a burdizzo (but don't have the tolerance for self inflicted pain to close it). I know it is risky, but I am not going to fly to California, Texas, or one of the few states that have doctors who will perform an orchiectomy for someone not looking for MTF transitions.

Hey NovaMike,

Yes. Staying home so much more has created multiple changes. I have a brand new niece that I'd like to meet and it looks as if she might be over 1 year old before I ever get to see her.

Regarding your inability to self castrate, I say that is a good thing. Seriously, please do not let the pandemic be a reason to try and use a band or a burdizzo. In fact, don't use either of those to castrate yourself as they are not a safe alternative.

Not being able to go to work is costing many people money. However, for some people who are able to work from home, the pandemic is saving them a ton of money.

If you are saving money, put that money aside and use it to get the surgery you want after the pandemic is over. It will end - either by burning itself out or by a vaccine. Saving money each month towards your surgery will make you feel as if you are doing something and not wasting time.

Most importantly, be safe. Safe from both COVID and in the way you end up castrated.

I can totally relate to this. I've been able to stay working (self employed with many projects that I can do alone and isolated) but I'm used to traveling and visiting people out of town and having interaction with others. I think it's starting to catch up to me. I've been exhausted and sleeping a lot the past week or 2. I'm finally getting out and traveling to Chicago to visit friends there. I will of course be very careful and won't be out in crowds at all but I just can't keep being like a hermit. It is taking a toll on so many. I guess we just stay strong. I'm sorta glad I got my nullification surgery in right before everything started to happen.

Chicago has opened up a little. I actually went to a local bar for a beer with a friend recently. It did feel strange. Hope you have fun here
