Do you play with the T?

Post by Gelded (imported) »

Do you play with testosterone, take it to have sex or stop taking it for frustration?

Are there any risks in playing like this, stopping and resuming the T?

I think it just takes too long for the symptoms to show themselves.

Sometimes I do play around with what I take but results not noticeable for at least a month.

Well over the years since my orchi I’ve been on several dosages from 200mg down to 50mg twice monthly. Then 100 mg once a month. With every dose I only felt the negative effects such as BPH, increased hemoglobin, anxiousness, etc. and never felt much difference in the positive. I was hormone free for well over a year but started estrogen awhile back and felt much better on the female hormone. I’m not trans but it seems estrogen was a reasonable alternative. It initially ranked my libido but after a few months adjusting it came back to normal levels for a castrated male (ie not alway horny but easy to get in the mood when I wanted to).

And after a month of interruption of T what do you feel?

And if you resume the T, do you have a return to normal, or do you risk causing irreversible feminization?

Honestly, I felt no major difference with or without T in the span of a few months. After about six months testosterone free I could feel subtle differences in energy, weight gain and ability to focus and mood. These were not significant changes but rather subtle. In all, I Generally like the feeling of no testosterone.

Do you feel some kind of feminization?

Have you done any hormonal checks, and if so what is the outcome?

Aren't you putting yourself at risk with osteoporosis for example?

Mentally I still feel male though physically I have developed breast. My last bloodwork showed my testosterone at 60ng/dl and estradiol at 10ng/dl.

Not having started this type of analysis myself, I have no idea what your results mean

Nanograms per decilitre (ng/dl) is simply a measurement on a microscopic scale. The normal intact male's range of testosterone is roughly 300 - 1000ng/dl. Less than 50ng/dl is considered castrate levels but can vary at times of the day. In a Eunuch that little bit of testosterone is made primarily in the adrenal glands after testicles are removed. Estridiol is a female hormone but, just as women produce a little testosterone, men produce a little estrogen. The measurement for that is picograms per decilitre - pg/dl (my misprint in the above post) and in an intact male 10-15 pg/dl would be considered normal. There is a delicate balance in all hormones to act efficiently in both males and females. A lot of men don't realize that to maintain a healthy libido estridiol is important and must be in a balanced ratio to testosterone. Anyone seriously considering castration you should do a lot of research to understand the pros and cons as well as benefits and risks of no testosterone, replacement testosterone and using female hormones as an alternative. I have played with it all and generally speaking I haven't noticed much difference in any of the trials. However, after a few months on female hormones (Climira50 transdermal patches) I did notice an increase in my libido over the past two years of being off testosterone. Hope this helps.

Hello seanthomas.

Thank you for your explanations, now I understand better.

Which would suggest that you are not taking Testosterone (which explains your breast gain), and you have found a libido, which would probably originate from female hormones.

What about osteoporosis?

Thank you for taking the time to answer me, I am approaching my castration, and I am continuing my investigations to find out what the urologist is going to talk to me about, when he talks to me about testosterone and the values that I have during my preoperative and postoperative blood test. I wish my discussion with him was not Chinese.
