Re: Castration regrets

It's been a little over a year for me and I never experienced regret at any point leading up to, the day of, and at anytime after my surgery. I still have my scrotum and the scar is invisible because it's small and on the center line at the very back. My right cord retracted after about 9 months and my left one finally pulled up enough inside where I don't feel it anymore. My scrotum has definitely shrunk and I don't notice it between my legs anymore even in the hot summer without underwear. I regret not getting it done in my 30"s. I was 49 when I got the cut but my balls atrophied a few years before that. My T level was averaging in the 140's for a few years. I've only met one guy on Reddit who regretting his orchiectomy surgery. He was gay and on TRT with no plans of fathering children. Still he was very depressed about it and claimed that TRT wasn't the same. That hasn't been my experience. I'm more comfortable in my body without them and clothes feel so much better. I had a dog jump in my lap and land his paws right in my groin and it didn't hurt, lol. I didn't want to do it when they functioned because you become dependent on hormones at some point. Once they stopped working I had no reservations at all going through the trouble of removing them. It was well worth it overall, it did a take me longer to heal thanks to long covid related inflammation. My cords were swollen for at least 6 weeks and it took another 9 months or so before my scrotum stopped looking so stretched out and loose. Now you can't even find a scar where they took them out.

I'm glad you're well and feeling good!

Your dog confirms this :).

My main regret is not doing it sooner. Yes there been some bad side effects but I have and do work through them the rest are all pros for me. Everyone is different and have different experiences and feelings on it Al. Personally I enjoy being a eunuch and would never go back even if it was possible.
