In general, Versed or Valium can be used with pain killers for surgery awake. Versed intentionally causes amnesia to prevent you from remembering the surgery. Valium can be used in varying amounts but can cause sleepiness and amnesia. A spinal block or local pain killing injections can aid in being fully awake and remembering your entire surgery with no memory affects.

Lots of men do desire to feel and experience their castration to varying degrees in concept. But few drs will allow pain during delicate surgery. Being awake and clear headed during surgery is a common desire among men. But again, many drs don t prefer that during surgery.

The dr and anesthesiologist decide which painnkillers and sedation men get during surgeries. Most will balk at men wishing to fully experience their castration surgery and not facilitate that. Shopping around for those who will cooperate with your wishes might locate more willing providers.

I am in Europe and I do not know what the anesthesia practices are for this type of intervention.

How much did you feel under local numbing from up in your gut from the ball cords deep inside your abdomen during castration ?

While my orchi was not done under a local, my vasectomy and scrotectomy was. I did feel tugging and things being moved, however it didn't hurt at all.

Some men process local drugs like lidocaine really fast. A shot that should last numbing for 2 hours hurts me in 10 minutes. I found that out the hard way, during surgery. The dr had to keep injecting me about every 10 minutes the whole time to stop the pain..

Yes, they kept injecting up to the maximum they were allowed!

It is true that the effectiveness of an anesthesia is important, however, when I evoke the different types of anesthesia, I think more than in the case of a local anesthesia, we are fully witnessing its castration, and that must to be both exciting but perhaps also very traumatic, right?

I was castrated with just a local anesthetic (my preference). I walked about a mile to a restaurant several hours following and then drove home the following day, then returned to work on the 2nd day following. All was fine. Very little pain.
