On My Way!!!

Post by neweunuch (imported) »

After years of contemplation and indecision, followed by months of conversations with my wife, I finally took the first formal step towards my castration!! That was a psych evaluation!!!

As Most of you know, talking to a complete stranger, trying to explain why I want a significant part of my manhood removed, was a little nerve-wracking!!! Thankfully, it was a virtial meeting!! But, all things considered, she did a great job keeping me as relaxed as possible, especially through the more sensitive points of the conversation.

She will be sending me a referral letter and I am now clear to contact a surgeon!!! Fingers crossed!

Hey @neweunuch,

Your profile shows this is your first post. So, welcome home - this forum is the right place.

Would you share with us why you and your wife would like you castrated? Are your sex drives too far apart or do you just want to not have a sex drive at all?

Where are you having your surgery done?

Congratulations indeed. Yes I would like to read about your history, and why you decided this is the pathway for you also.

Thank you for the welcome. It took a few tries to register, but perseverance paid off! Reading the various forums here, the accounts and experiences, is what finally pushed me over the edge. I truly wanted to, but taking that first step to call was more difficult than I thought it wouldbe!

I have always disliked the look of testicles and scrotum. It just looks like God forgot something and shoved a big wad of chewing gum between Man’s legs. But, they had a purpose!

Seven years ago I was put on HRT for low T. Dr told me that testicle shrinkage was a side effect. This became VERY noticable after about 3 years. This, along with my beta-male status in my marriage, got me seriously contemplating and researching castration. The more I read, the more convinced I became.

About 4 mos ago I began talking with my wife about it. She was a bit shocked at first, but once I pointed out examples of my “less than male” traits, she began to accept that I am not fully a male. A eunuch, in my mind, may appear male but is something unique!!

Once the procedure is complete, we want to investigate other hormone options. When the levels drop it has a serious cognizant effects. But we dont want the male effects of the T. Nor are we interested in becoming feminine. So, other options!

I just wanted to add that testicles and testosterone have nothing to do with manhood. Manhood is on the inside of you not the outside. That is what determines a true man.

Thank you all for the encouragement. And yes, I agree that I can be as much of a man as I always have been!

BTW, I forgot to mention that, while researching, I came across Middlesex Hospital here in Connecticut. They have a Trans program that begins with a Counselor/Guide to help throughout the process. She gave me my evaluation and referred me to a surgeon right there. So far, very smooth and understanding!

I've been castrated 16 months now and was on testosterone replacement therapy for several years before my medically necessary castration and continued using synthetic testosterone after my castration and I got mean and depressed. November I stopped taking the testosterone and let it get out of my system and I felt emotionally freed I was calm and happy. In march I had a bone scan because I had a gastric bypass surgery done 20 years ago and never had one and found out that I had osteopenia and needed some estrogen and calcium citrate for it to get better the added benefit of only taking 1 mg daily has only improved my moods and stopped the side effects of not having testosterone. I still am manly but I'm more sensitive how I make people feel. I've been told by my family members that I'm enjoyable to be around now, before they would stay away from me. This has helped me in my life but I'm not a professional so take it one step at a time and learn what works for you.

Just like calming a raging bull or a wild stallion by castration. Some men do benefit from lack of testosterone. Glad to hear your medically necessary gelding turned out to have a silver lining for you and the people around you..
