Has anyone thought thru where there might be future opportunities when things edge back a bit more towards what they were? Best I can come up with is tracking down a sanitizer system that seems to work and set up home/business cleaning service. The other is I wonder if there is not some opportunity with regular pickup and trailer hauling small loads that need to get from A to B quickly.
Any ideas?

Re: Future opportunities
You mean after the virus has passed? For me I am going to try volunteering at places that I feel I might have a desire to develop a career in. And go back to further my education to get into university.
This is all dependent on how my mind settles to my hormonal state.

Re: Future opportunities
This whole thing filled me with melancholy as it first developed because you just knew there would be a lot of people put in really bad and difficult situations. But it will pass and people will have to get on with life. I do not know if there quickly will be a vaccine or if we will have to have repeated rounds of it until there is herd immunity. That is part of the puzzle.
I think it is great you are thinking about volunteering - provided you can reasonably protect yourself. Better than sitting in the living room watching TV and looking at the stacks of toilet paper.
My take on all this social distancing, etc is that nobody has ever said it will keep the individual safe. It is all about keeping from inundating the health system. Plus if you can put off getting it, medical people begin to get experience on how to deal with it. I would rather be the millionth person to get it than the third.
So, given the unknowns, a way forward including paying the rent?

I have said this to others, that, unfortunately, I think that this is going to be staying with us forever until we all get vaccinated from it. Until then, I am not taking any unnecessary risks and taking good precautions.
I have lots to do before I start volunteering. But the idea, is when I am vaccinated, then I can proceed with getting on with it and other things outside my own walls. Well, I am still quite introverted so watching TV isn't too hard for me haha. We don't have a huge amount of toilet paper, but it would have been good had we just had a bidet before this virus came haha.
It is both keeping the individual safe and protecting the health system. I agree that it is better if the medical staff are trained with this, but I still don't want to get complacent with my protection.
I don't know what to say friend to help you. Seek out the support of friends and family. Ration food and drink. Sell stuff online (if you can still? And if it is safe for you to do so?). Consider having someone move in with you to help pay towards the bills (after they have been self-isolating for 2-3 weeks and you trust them).
