Keeping Sane? How Are You?

Post by Paolo »

Are you in a "hot zone" area for COVID-19? Are you not?

Are you trying to stay in, or just going about as usual?

If you're trying to stay in, as I am, and work from home, what are you doing to keep sane?!

What activities have you started doing? Hobbies? Anything?

Please share!

I've been writing a lot, and have almost completed a new novel in record time. My houseplants hate me now, from too much attention. The poor dog is losing his mind, in that I'm home all day. I made some backups of files with an adapter for my new internal SATA drive that's now an external USB drive. I've been (legally) downloading music.๐Ÿ™

I did go out two days ago for groceries to the local butcher shop. They had a truck. I bought stuff for me and the dog, but only the usual weekly amount. The owner will not tolerate hoarding, but he assures me that he's yet to have to shoot anyone. If he does, he'll just throw them in the meat grinder for hamburger.๐Ÿ†˜

Tonight, I made some 'not so murderous' chili, in that I didn't have any hot peppers. I did have a bottle of red pepper flakes, though, and a fresh onion to caramelize. Good thing I bought an industrial size bottle of Tums! Good calcium, that! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘‹

It wasn't intentional, nor was it fun, but today I shot myself in the face with Lysol. I had the can turned backwards! Thank God for glasses!

I keep reading, working on a quilt (quilting it), up until yesterday I was checking residents in for meals. Still working in the library when needed. I do keep my hands washed. Can't say the same for my face, seeing as I am not supposed to touch my face.

Yea wrote a while back hand sanitiser has not much going for it when it gets in your eye.

UK not on total lockdown so can still get around.

Most folks using common sense.

Have plenty of broken stuff around house that needs sorting and have decent home gym setup.

Been on vacation and on plane so will ring HR up to ask about next week away from work.

I'm in an area of Canada with very low rates (whole province has less than 25 cases, no hospitalization), but still, we are under 'state of emergency' but with none of the provisions enacted yet.

Our grocery stores are definitely reacting, though; at-risk customers only for first hour, and constant wiping of surfaces.

Same at work. We are not 'essential' but still working (which is allowed still, here), we have lots of work, and only 1% of staff isolated, and those due to them having travelled recently.

However, with the USA looking to be escalating to a really troubling amount of cases (I'm conjecturing, but it looks to me like due to the slow response (or even acceptance of a 'problem' at all) by your illustrious leader, you guys are in for an infection rate similar to Italy (the whole country) and London (north part of the city)), I'm worried about us in Canada.

So long as freight moves and we are allowed to work, I'm fine. Beyond that? Yikes.

I have relatives in my house from the city and honestly, I"m worried I'm opening myself up for infection, even there are only a handful of cases there right now. It's a fine line between over- and under-reacting around here right now. Some of my friends are mad at me for having my sister visit this weekend; others think it's perfectly fine.

Whatever; I'm cool. Stock market? No worries. I'm trusting my funds will do fine; the rebound in 6-12 months will be serious. I'm upping my RRSP payments this week, and I hope my fund managers are buying like crazy.

But I'm mildly nervous about the whole thing. This is going to really test systems. I hope we are up to the task.

Lots of things I could be doing around the house but on a " no heavier than a gallon of milk" lifting restriction. I did start playing the piano , but then haven't practiced for two days, same with guitar. Lots of reading. It is amazing how I look back at a day and realize I really didn't do anything worthwhile!

Rog,

I'd like a detailed list, please?

SMH and knowing you'll never fess up to all the "new things" you're doing "to yourself", I've decided to push the button in my brain that is labeled "Creative Things to do with Your Penis".

1. Dip it in ice-cold salted water for 30 minutes to see what a bottle of white wine goes through during rapid cooling.

2. Do that again, because if 30 minutes felt that numb, then 45 minutes would feel better.

3. Decide never to that again after reading up on the effects of frostbite.

4. Roll one die (the singular form of dice) and multiply the number by 10. Band Ranger for that many minutes.

5. Decide that was interesting but, lacked the thrill of long term banding (read that as Ranger loves Danger).

6. Rolled three dice and multiply the number by ten and that's the number of minutes Ranger gets banded.

7. Seriously having enjoyed number six, Ranger demands you do it again. When three sixes were rolled Ranger stood up to see what the numbers were.

8. 180 minutes later Ranger has passed out from lack of oxygen and Roger realized that not being able to cum makes a good night's sleep more difficult.

9. Two days later, Ranger is demanding more danger and Rog is more interested in a face to face webcam session with some girl he finds online.

10. She promised not to take any screen captures and post them online. But, that resulted in another restless night of sleep wondering if she was catfishing Ranger.

11. Bored, Rog reads an article on the history of the Internet and finds that one of the very first websites was LPSG, the large penis support group. Ranger finds the site boring and Rog hates it when Ranger gets bored and refuses to play.

12. Determined to get a good night of sleep, Rog beats Ranger as if he owes him money and the resulting waterfall of jizz coats the headboard, Rog's hair, and chest and the dripples out for the next hour as Rog sleeps like a baby.

13. Ranger finds an application online to become a porn actor for Tushy and fills it out. Roger isn't sure but makes the audition vid anyway and Rager mails it in.

14. With Roger's stunning good looks and movie star smile that could melt any MILF's heart combined with Ranger's massive personality, the studio calls back the next day to arrange for an in-person audition.

15. Although Ranger has never been so excited, Roger won't do the audition without his pet monkey on his shoulder and the entire idea is nixed.

16. Currently, Ranger is having a sulk and Roger is looking through the collection of hair ties various women have left on Ranger over the years and pondering if he should arrange them in a frame or put them back in his sock drawer next to his fleshlight.

17. ?

So? How close did I come to the "new things" you are "doing to yourself"?
