Partial SRS?

So I've been castrated for a long time and most of the skin down there has shrunk considerably. Pretty sure that even if I wanted SRS there'd not be enough material to work with. Is there such a thing as partial SRS? Maybe where they nullify, but pretty it up to look like a vag if they don't take a closer look?

Zero depth vaginoplasty is a reconstructive procedure for transwomen that includes orchiectomy, penectomy and creation of a sensate neoclitoris, labia minora and major without creation of a neovagina.

This is a one-staged procedure that feminizes the external genitalia without the added recovery and need for dilation. In contrast to the full-depth vaginoplasty, patients do not need to have permanent hair removal performed or a bowel prep before surgery.

Patients who have a history of prostate issues or radiation or do not desire penetrative intercourse may choose the zero depth option. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and is followed by a two- to three-day inpatient hospital stay while the urinary catheter is in place.

I have played with the idea in my head. But I haven't broached the subject with my wife. I think she would see that as a step too far.

Has anyone here had this type of surgery? I'm just curious about cost without any insurance.

Unless I am mistaken a lot of transgender folks simply stop at hormone therapy, an orchiectomy and scrotal removal with the penis left intact. I believe this is primarily due to the exorbitant cost involved in complete SRS. I have read that a skilled surgeon can do a complete or partial penectomy with the nerves left intact to keep an erogenous area and I imagine such a mod would not be too expensive.

This is the route that I have taken. I was just curious about costs. 99.99999 % chance I'll never go there.

Many trans women just stop at hormones or orchidectomy. I do not think scrotal removal is common, because it would make any later SRS much more difficult. Orchidectomy is a small surgery with a low complication rate. SRS is brutal major surgery with a long recovery and a high complication rate, even if the cost and difficulty finding services were not a factor.

Minimal depth involves a lot of the same techniques I'm told by people who've had it. It does skip the whole dilating issue (which takes a loooot of time early on in recovery) but the reaction of a body to surgery of that magnitude varies from person-to-person from 'Great' to 'This was the worst decision ever', so if you pursue it make sure you weigh the potential benefits to the cost of anything going majorly wrong. It's a lot of red-tape to get it even when coverage exists, mostly because of gatekeeping (providers are careful to cover their own butts).
