Catheter bag and bladder was full over 1900 ml urine. Feel much better. I've been drinking alot of fluids and am on IV fluids. They last emptied my bag around 6:30 PM I guess I'll have to remind them more often. New Doctor and Hospital this time I guess they're all not as vigilant in your care. P.S. just asked again for pain meds I last had them two in the afternoon and was allowed to ask for them every 6 hours for pain relief. Maybe if they would have given them to me on time I'd never noticed my bag an d bladder was over full. Chesleyt

Drinking water will help stop the bleeding

Also, keeping the catheter still will help too. That's not altogether possible but be gentle.

Best wishes on your recovery

Just woke up and called nurse because I dropped my pillow on the floor bag was full and she emptied it. Upside I just had my first bit of icecream in almost a year and it tasted great. Feeling good right now. Chesleyt

Pain meds wore off and it hurts worse now than earlier yesterday at 9:00 PM. Just asked for them and they called down to the pharmacy for them. It's been almost 8 hours maybe I misunderstood and it's more like every 8 hours if that's so the meds are only lasting 6 hours. I moved my bed up to an inclined position and it's a little better but still really hurts. I wonder how much is the catheter? They stopped the irrigation last time they emptied the catheter bag and my urine is clear now. They just disconnected the IV and irritation and hung the bag on the side of my gown and put the portable heart monitor in my pocket and I've been walking around the ward the last 20 minutes. They're going to let me go home later today they also gave me my pain meds before they did any of that first so now I'm pain free again for now. Will keep you posted. Chesleyt

Funny thing just happened to me there's 3 tubes in my catheter one goes into the balloon that keeps it inside me and 2 that goes into my bladder 1 to flush it and one to the collection bag. They disconnected the one for flushing my bladder and put a plug into it blocking from letting my urine coming out, well sometime between them putting it in I lost it while I was out walking. Well my bladder was empty at that time, so after my walk I laid back down and started to drink a Sprite and a couple cups of water. Guess what happened urine came out of the tube soaking me. I just got cleaned up, in a new hospital gown and back in bed. The last 2 times I had catheters I ended getting soaked also, so I guess this is a tradition for me now. Just wanted to tell you something funny that happened to me today. Chesleyt

They just removed the catheter and it did hurt I've had them in the past but this was the worst. Now I have to urinate in a urinal to show that I can and see if I'm bleeding. Then I'll be able to go home to recuperate. Boy I miss my own bed maybe I'll be able to get more than 3 hours sleep. Chesleyt
