New user here! I can't figure out how to search for fiction (stories) or browse the whole set of stories!
There is an "Advanced Search" in the top right corner of this forum site, but from what I can tell it searches this forum, not the actual list of stories. Stories themselves are at the separate eunuchworld site, but there doesn't seem to be an overall index or search function for eunuchworld. All I can do is click on links for specific stories in the forum which then takes me to the story in eunuchworld. When I view a specific story (by following a link from the forum), there is a list of tags at the beginning, but I don't see a way to search for all stories with a given tag or combination of tags. Sorry if I'm being dense. What am I missing?

Re: How to browse / search for stories
There might be a way to do what you are looking for but, if there is, I am unaware of how to do it.
The Fiction, Forums, Chat, and Personals all use their own software and databases. So, you are correct that the search box on the forum will not search the fiction section.
It doesn't mean you are out of luck. You can try the "way back machine" it sometimes finds things in the fiction section.
Bing and Google won't be too much help. They will not index the content behind a password-protected website. The eunuchworld is its own website and since it requires a password to see the stories, it won't index in google or bing.
If you find an author that uses a theme you enjoy, there is a list of stories by the author that is accessed by clicking the first letter of the author. Then you can use your browser's search to find that author on the page - it is CTRL+F in both Chrome and whatever name the windows browser is using this week. Safari should also let you search a page.
Some authors have changed their names over the years. Variations on spelling or long or shorter versions of the same name.

Re: How to browse / search for stories
Thanks for confirming that I'm not missing something obvious lik
Here for example is a recent story: The Wedding Present, Part 5 [S] (https://eunuchworld.co/s15101)
In the top left corner of the page, it gives the author's name. But I don't see anything I can click on which would show a list of stories by that author or by all authors with the first letter 'r'. How does one do that?
the stories, though it is unfortunate that neither exists (as far as you,
is accessed by clicking the first letter of the author.TopManFL (imported) wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2020 6:59 am a longtime member here, know).
I'm curious about this:

You would find an index for authors under the first letter of the name they used to post, by going to the main menu page on the story archive, then looking at the blue area on the upper left of the screen. You'll see the second item is, "Author index." Look for the first letter of the authors name and open that page. Then scroll to find the author you're looking for.
Re: How to browse / search for stories
There's no way to search the story archive via phrases, if that's what you mean.
The tags are there for info only, as there is no search engine built-in behind the log-in wall.
We had to put that in place some years ago, as we were under fire from:
1. BME - our host at that time before going independent
2. The German government - no kidding! I should look up that letter and post it. I told them to fuck off.
3. Some service providers, who were getting it (and passed it on to us) from some angry parents whose kids found the notorious Justin Bieber story and thought it was real.
To this day, I still don't know how sites like asstr and nifty avoid these issues!

Paolo,
You have crushed me to the bone and my week is ruined. I'm seriously thinking of going back to bed, pulling the covers over my head and crying into my pillow. It's the only therapy I can think of that has any chance of making me feel better. You mean the Justin Beaver story isn't real? I also have a question, is this the same Beaver as the character from the show on the TV machine called "Leave it to Beaver"? I ask because I'd much rather see Wally castrated.
