Robin’s Burt Ward had to take shrinking pills for his massive bulge

Ahhh the legendary Batman and Robin. Truly there was no greater iteration of the dynamic duo as that played by Burt Ward and Adam West. The over-the-top colours, the mannerisms, the costumes, the bulges. It was an insane affair.

This week, Burt Ward, a.k.a. Robin of TV’s Batman fame, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In a corresponding interview with Page Six, Ward reminisced on his days in the sun playing Batman’s boy wonder side-kick, and naturally, the topic of bulge sizes just had to come up eventually.

As Ward tells it, the Catholic League of Decency reached out to ABC expressing concerns over Robin’s rather large endowment. “They thought Robin had a very large bulge for television,” he explained. The network eventually asked Ward to take medication that would “shrink me up,” as he says.

“I took them for three days and then I decided that they can probably keep me from having children,” Ward said. “I stopped doing that and I just used my cape to cover it.”

On the opposite side of the spectrum, apparently Adam West also struggled with issues with the size of his bulge. However, when it came to West, the issue was lack of size.

“With Adam they put Turkish towels in his undershorts,” Ward claimed.

Sitting down to discuss his long-time-coming star on the walk of fame, Ward spoke Variety about his days on Batman saying:

“I was just a starry-eyed young guy that had a great time, and I loved playing the role,” says Ward. “’Batman’ was the No. 1 and No. 2 show in the world. It was tremendous, and you just almost can’t conceive how people reacted to our show. This was when television had just recently come in color. Nobody had ever played with an audience like we did. It was just electric, an amazing event in my life.”

I used to love watching that show when I was younger. Now I can appreciate the costumes in a different way. I thought it was Interesting to learn that batman had to stuff his crotch and Robin was a real boy wonder. Must have made batman jealous of that boy.

It makes you wonder which self appointed and totally untrained and unqualified guardians of the sex hating and sex fearing segment of the public, and their overly unreasonable and oppressive sensativities, took it upon themselves to sit and watch all of the bulges of different men on TV back then ? And even more, how did any claim to decide which men s bulges were too big or not too big ? What was their supposed expertise or basis upon which to claim how big of a bulge each man was allowed to show on TV ?

I imagine the dumbest and most ignorant were self appointed to revel in watching for the display of any men s sexuality on TV ! And then pretend to be shocked and offended any time a man showed any masculine anatomy. Robert Conrad being half naked and tied up in obvious S and M scenes in nearly every episode of the Wild, Wild West, and Tarzan s well packed loin cloth, and torture scenes,, and the similar scenes in Star Trek and in many western cowboy shows, must have had these censors orgasming with fained outrage ! Their own fetishes relishing in what they had falsely claimed had so offended them.

Burt Ward always seemed like he had lots of extra testosterone to spare with his deep voice and energetic actions. Made you wonder if the boy wonder got his nickname in bedding Gotham City s college co eds instead of fighting crime ?

It makes me wonder what the pills were. Testosterone is well known for shrinking testicles as the balls don't need to make T.

However, oral testosterone pills are dangerous. Maybe not to superheroes?

Also, what pills would shrink a dick? Then, again, he didn't say what was causing the bulge in his codpiece. Maybe he was all potatoes and no meat?

Maybe they gave him that Tagamet over the counter stomach acid medicine to shrink up everything on him ? That shrinks up both dicks and balls in the recent forum Tagamet posts on here. Sounds like that stuff emasculates men much faster than hormones do. A do it yourself castration pill if men stay on it long enough from the sounds of it !

Plus, you d think Hollywood makeup people in the 1960s would know how to hide a man s bulge with taping, or padding his crotch briefs or a strap to flatten him out on camera or just edit out any crotch shots before they resort to damaging a young man s balls permanently. Even the tightest balls on extra short nut cords could be pushed up into his groin for a day s filming with no damage to his balls. It might reduce his sperm count if they overheated up in there for many days. But that would only be temporary at most. He looked too young to be actively breeding during that TV series anyway. Good thing he wanted to have kids some day and refused to take any more pills.
