National Groups who meet

Post by Sac_mec (imported) »

I'm looking to make contact with an actual group who meet.

My own country is England but I hope that if you have relevant information in your country or region that you'll add to the posts here.

I'm looking for a social group who meet, discuss and encourage each other. The most essential element is that the group is

"more than" gay. A male group which embraces and supports

men who have interests in eunuch and transgendered and

neutral gender zone areas. I suppose its a group for "men without testosterone" - open to sympathetic men.

I am sure there must be such a group in London (I've heard of the Albany Trust- but think they are more a counselling group).

I am looking for a friendly "Land based" version of this website

where I hope I could learn and also support men who have reached the same conclusions - beyond the male gender really.

Any specific replies relating to England and the UK are welcome and as I said earlier anywhere on planet Earth if you know of a Social and philosohical mens+ meeting group who think about gender plus issues please post here! Thank you.

Well, sometime has passed since my original posting and despite that fact that plenty of you have read the message, no-one has replied and having done some study I undertand why.

I spent some time after posting to try and find within my own country and organisation which embraced EA principles and welcomed "men without testosterone" - so not an exlusive group

to any one sexuality. The end result of my research is that there

is no "land based" organisation which makes this website unique

and so very important. Perhaps we feel happier at home in comfort and quiet where we can reflect and add positive thoughts here. That's one conclusion I've pondered.

However I must give a plug for Transgender folk in the UK

reading this who may know nothing of the work of The Gender

Dysophoria Trust whose sole aim is to support TG people as they

consider and then proceed with gender change.

They can be contacted at: Gender Dysohoria Trust at P O Box

3192 Brighton BN1 3WR and they have a well presented and easy to surf website at www.gendertrust.org.uk

With the work that they do, they aren't in a position to offer help to males who wish to remain males who lack testosterone; their

role is specific and I hope that by featuring them here that

they receive some wider coverage. If you know of a TG support group in your country please continue the thread; it may have

changed focus from the original idea but information is power.

I did a search for you, and came up with these results:

http://www.beaumontsociety.org.uk/ (Look at "events")

http://www.bristol-devas.co.uk/ (Building community)

http://www.mensa.org.uk/mensa/sig_menu.html (Special Interest Group (SIG) for Transgender)

http://www.gaylestg.fsnet.co.uk/ (List of transgender support groups)

I hope there is something useful for you here. Best of luck.

I'm uncomfortable with any site that asks for my e-mail address up front. Especially with sites like this one seems to be, there are too many stories of frauds and scams. I don't want to be on a mailing list for pornography. What has your experience been? Why are you recommending this site on so many threads here?

At least spam in a can is nutritious, and people consume it voluntarily.

I am also in the UK and have to say that I wonder perhaps if you were not asking a bit too much of us- and especially asking for gay eunuchs- I am not gay, so I can't be any help can I?

I will add that living in the UK you should understand that us blokes with this particular interest tend to prefer a low profile, and of course the great internet has provided probably for the first time in history an opportunity to discuss and inform while remaining anonymous. I am not sure that this is a Group thing anyway, and honestly if you were unaware of the Beaumont Society (as you seemed to be) I for one would hear alarm bells ringing as to your integrity at the very least!

If you are prepared to accept non gays then I will be happy to talk to you!

Sorry for my delayed reply, I've been on holiday and missed the

cold weather that has returned to UK - came back last night.

I do not wish to change my gender, if you read my original posting

and whilst of course I have heard of the existence for years of the

Beaumont Society, that organisation is far from how I feel myself.

I am a chem eunuch first, very much so, totally asexual with no libido at all but still mentally Gay and fully appreciative of enjoying

male beauty; thus I am Gay and male but a bit special.

I agree with you Quillman and have said here and in PMs that I think all guys are happier with their PCs and being able to be low profile; it has its advantages and it is easy and safe.

Somehow though as good as cyber contact is, it is a poor substitute for engaging intellectually, socially etc with other "men

without testosterone". Many gay men like me feel MUCH more comfortable with men who are eunuchs or closetobees than with

gay men whose focus can be over macho.

I think the EA is brilliant and does and unsurpassable job but actually enjoying a bit of sane time with non sex focused eunuchs

appeals alot. The TG scene is not my own, but I included info

on it very willingly as eunuchs enjoy something of the grey area

concerning gender and feel focused on softer attitudes and values too. Thanks for your reply Quillman, I hope this clarifies to you that I am sincere, living in the UK and not phony and of course I'd be happy to hear from you.
