First time poster, long time learner

I have been learning on this site for over a year now. My main reason has been my wife's breast cancer diagnosis. We have had a long journey since Oct 2018 until today. Her last surgery was Dec 30, 2019. I am 48 years old and have been taking Depo Provera injections since Dec 2018. My wife has been assisting for over six months now, as we have talked about why and how and what with her support. She has been ravished in that area of our marriage since her first chemo session.

I told her today about making my castration permanent and it was met with mixed reviews. She tells me she wants me to desire her and yes, I still do in a less sexual way. But it is so easy to not think about that area of my life since I have taken those injections. The dreams are gone and as I told her, I have masturbated this last year as much as I would have in 3 days before the injections. For anyone considering Depo Provera, I am a believer in monthly injections.

I did learn about everclear injections and have had about 12 in my right testicle, and 3 injections in my left testicle. She does not know about this and I am hesitant to go any further. Making it permanent is not something she wants me to do. I did tell her if another major health event happens for either one of us, she will be quitting her job and I will be without testicles. Am I wrong?

12 injections would have probably ruined your right nut and the 3 will have done significant damage to the left.

Being on depo at the same time chances are you will feel no different for it so probably at castrate hormone level.

It could be that you not regain full function without TRT.

Your wife has come through a pretty major ordeal I would let her fully get over this physically as well as mentally before asking for consent for this.

I would ride this one out for a bit and discuss this at a later stage.

I can relate to your story StubbyHD. My wife's breast cancer treatments reduced her sexual urges and ability, leaving me frustrated. I went on cyproterone to lower my sex urge. Strangely, my doing that 'for her' turned her on somewhat and we became closer, including some nice sex. I tend to agree with ambiguous in that it might be best not to trouble your wife with ideas of your permanent castration. I was thinking along the same lines and my wife preferred me to keep my options open. Since I lost her in 2014 I have found new partners, and have enjoyed new sex lives. It's my swelling prostate that's causing me to explore castration again today. Of course, it's appeal for it's own sake is there too ;o)

First, I hope your wife is doing well. Breast cancer is evil - as you well know.

I'm not a big believer in injections into the testicles. Depo P. is another kind of injection. I assume you are trying to match your sex drive with your wife's? If so, check into physical castration. A much better plan than ever clear.
