Yep, I remember them. Also, Kansas was good.

Breakfast in America. ABC'S lexicon of love. Bands from my youth, the Undertones, the buzzcocks, the Jam, the Stranglers. Someone mentioned The Chain from F1, I remember seeing a BBC highlights clip with the soundtrack of Television, I see no evil. Fantastic track!

I can remember listening to the Legendary John Peel show.

Specialising in indie and underground and under the radar stuff this slot became an important portal for the up and coming bands.

The Undertones "Teenage Kicks" hit the Decks and for the first time in John Peels career he played it and put it straight back on again for a replay.

This track stole the show and was the instantly became his record of the week and the rest is history.

Sadly John Peel passed some 20 years ago and there has not been such an iconic show to take its place.

Google Nights with Alice Cooper. You might enjoy his take on better rock n roll. I enjoy it when I occasionally catch it driving.

@rogerwpbfl a couple others I've been thinking about that are worth a listen: Queensryche "Operation Mindcrime," "Empire," or for a kind of greatest hits overview, "Live Evolution." Also check out the Scorpions. "Love at First Sting" is a good representation of their work. Maybe my favorite band you never heard of is Marillion. I prefer the Fish era and specifically the albums "Misplaced Childhood" and "Clutching at Straws." I have a particular affinity for albums that segue from song to song so that you hit the play button and are blessed with an almost continuous feed of great music for the next 45-60 minutes. Marillion fits the bill.
