Sadly, I can't. I'm 7 months into using androcur and I have been told that I shall be on it a year.

I fit in the category that still remain on androcur and I think

(trust) that by know the result is permanent - 2x50mg tablets

a day.

Things certainly feel very comfortable and permanent.

If my urologist faces me with surgical decisions I will face that

but if he suggests continuing supervised treatment with androcur,

I'll be h

🚶 i was wondering what effects long term chem castration would have.ie, sterility, permanent impotence, permanent shrunk genitals,' eunuch calm, low libeto. have not read anything o
n the long term effects. surely there are some. 📖 💤 🔨 😎

limpdick,

Long term effects may incure permenent effects, depending on how long one would go (many, many years I suspect). Impotence would be a definite thing (see post #36). Smaller genitals may return to, or near, original size depending if one does experience shrinkage at all. One of the main interest I have is to see if anyone has actualy been chemically castrated for longer than 5 years to see what effects may take place. So far the general answers seem to put many people at less than a year of chemical castration, with a few going beyond that, but not too many seem to have gone longer than that.

🤾 Thanks, So 2 or 3 years shouldn t present a problem, if i would like to return to fully functioning genitals. Nice to know, even though i m enjoying the " calm ", and other positive effects of chem castration. Thanks for the 🙋 Good luck in everybodies decision making

I also like Andrew was never chemically castrated I just had the surgery on 1/18/02 by DR. Kimmel in Philadelphia. I am very happy now and my wife is much happier now also much calmer and at peace with myself I,ve had the weight gain problem as many do I,ve gained 20 lbs. but my PSA score has went from 1.8 to 0.3 as of end of May 03 just had another blood work up but my testosterone total is still 55 & free is 8.0 GOOD LUCK TO ALL GOD BLESS eunuchvern

Andrew, thank you for alerting me to this poll. I found it a pleasure to fill in and by doing so to actually formalise the pleasurable feelings I am having. I don't want to change my gender I am an equally proud male

with breast development as I was before. Naturally in nearly a year,

Androcur has changed my body and mind but all told very much to

my liking and whilst it is chemical castration which is the daily

achievable goal, I am a softer, gentler, more aware male who

appreciates so much more. Being middle aged means I'm not hung up

on my six pack - gravity dropped that a decade or so back and so some

extra body weight on top of stomach is "not an issue" - it's a pleasure

and yes, I even open my shirt wide in hot weather so that increased

breast growth and curvature can be seen; what the heck in middle

age it's nice to have an attractive body feature you enjoy!

If you feel your breasts swelling and tenderness and some pain,

let the experience enrichen you and don't feel worried!

Then there are a few of us who have absolutely NO desire to be either castrated or penectomised, But thoroughly enjoy spending time enjoying those that have been either or both. Personally My preference is for a "partner" with balls but no dick.

We are all different, hopefully (here anyway) all tolerant

I believe that I will be on Depo-Provera for the rest of my life. A pain in the ass, maybe, but for me better than surgery.
