Gosh, I hate to be the one to tell you this. After you boil the eggs and let them chill in the fridge, you are supposed to peel them before you pop them in your mouth.

You're supposed to take the boiled eggs out of the pan, and immediately put them in ice water. This makes them much easier to peel. I find that rolling the egg on a dish towel on the counter to break the shell along the equator of the egg works best.
