Is Wearing Jockstrap a Special Male Experience?
There is almost nothing more "male" than a jockstrap.
Each year in grade school a letter would show up in the mail with information about the next year.
The information would include:
- The school to which I was assigned.
- Starting in the 7th-grade a list of assigned classes for each subject.
- A copy of the school student conduct requirements.
- Dress code information.
- Bus stop location if applicable.
- Starting in the 7th-grade gym class uniform requirements.
I remember that starting in 7th-grade gym class required dressing in a uniform that consisted of:
- A White T-Shirt with the student's last name written on the left chest
- A Gray Pair of gym shorts with the student's name written on the right front leg.
- White gym socks
- A gym shoes with a list of what was and was not allowed to protect the basketball court.
- A Jockstrap
The uniform was to be taken home every Friday and washed. So, needless to say, the gym smelled pretty ripe by Thursday as we left. There was really no other choice for jockstrap brands other than Bike. Its the only brand I remember anyone using.
What I remember the most about the Bike jockstraps was that they had a very large letter on the front of the waistband with the size. S, M, L for Small, Medium or Large. It did not indicate the size of the pouch.
The ones we wore weren't the kind with a protective cup in them. I did see some of those later but, early on it was just a jock with an elastic pouch.
There really is no advantage to wearing a jockstrap (or as the box called them an "Athletic Supporter). A pair of briefs would provide the same effect. Basically, the jock was to keep a guy's junk from swinging inside his gym shorts. But, they seriously provided no protection and didn't offer any prevention from hernias or injury. Other kinds of jocks with a hard plastic insert that could protect against an impact injury might offer some protection from impact injury but, the ordinary jock really didn't offer any magic ability to support anything athletic.
Most guys got their jock bought at the store and it came in a box. I have a brother three years older than me. So, I got his gym clothes hand-me-downs. Same last name. So, the shirts and shorts were already marked.
I remember getting three jocks all of them with a big "M" on the front. With socks and sneakers, I had what I needed.
Nobody showed me how to put that damned jock on and I was very confused by it. At first, it seemingly made more sense to put the pouch in that back - seriously, there was no rear cover? WTF? After I figured out how to put it on I realized my ass would be hanging out in the breeze.
Exactly why this "thing" was going to protect me with no butt cover and being no snugger on my junk than the white briefs I would take off at my gym locker to put the jock on was beyond me. Where the support came from was beyond me.
Then, I got to the locker room for the first time and everyone would put on their jockstrap before they put on their shorts. Some guys joked about it and called it a "ball bra". Being in the 7th-grade (13 years old or so) guys were at various stages of puberty. My birthday was right on the cutoff for school admission. So, I was always one of the older students and I had started puberty. Some guys looked like they didn't even know what puberty was let alone having started it.
It didn't take long for jockstraps to become normal. I went from wondering who had invented them and why to just accepting that they were a "guy thing" and that we had to wear them. Everyone did and it was no big deal.
I took gym class for 4 years and 10th grade was the last. Every year jockstraps were required. By the last year, I think I'd have felt odd not wearing one. Not because I thought they protected me - just because it seemed to be a gym thing for guys.
That my ass was sticking out and that really there was no protection in front was long forgotten - a jockstrap was just part of the uniform and I would have felt strange without one.
I know today that professional athletes tend to forego them. I've seen the clips of soccer and rugby players getting their shorts accidentaly pulled down during a game and they are not wearing any kind of underwear at all. Even in American football, the jockstrap lines in the rear of the uniform when a player bends over is getting rare.
So, considering that a jockstrap holds a guy's nuts. Does anyone have any thoughts about jockstraps, any memories of them in school or anything you did with your jocks when you were castrated?

I‘m cyclist and we don‘
When I lived in northern Nevada decades ago and knew some in a biking group, there was one woman who made a comment that she didn't see why guys didn't just go ahead and get castrated. Not sure if she talked to hubby about that.

She might have been referring to massive nerve damage that long term biking can do. It's almost as if riding a bike seat was designed to rub the pelvic floor nerves out of existence. Men can find themselves with numbness and ED and all from riding a bike for hours at a time.

I used to ride mountain bikes a lot and there was no real comfortable way! Much better now though don’t ride much anymore. Used to live in Colorado mountains now in panhandle of Texas.

I always had trouble with jock straps pouch being to small even thoug it fit my waist my cock would come out the top and my balls were always crushedI was a large boy and went through puberty in 6th grade and Had a full beard and mustache by my 7th grade. Year I had to shave every other day but was allowed to keep my mustache. I always hated wearing a jock strap in gym class.

I m guessing most women can t imagine having their tender gonads swinging around so vulnerable in a thin bag of skin between their legs. Its nature s way of castrating lots of surplus males to make our balls so exposed and easy to damage.

Whoever designed bike seats to rest a man s entire weight on his dick root and ball cords must have wanted to geld all bikers as fast as possible. I always got erections biking and maybe that s the best protection men can use,. Take viagra and bike on a fully erect penis root to protect your virility and shield your ball cords from every bump and hole in trails and roads.
Those new men s bike seats with a hollow space right under our dick roots still look like the surrounding seat would impact your dick root and ball cords just as much as with no hollow space.
