It would still be sensible to have your bone density checked from time to time. Your endocrinologist should advise you.

I had gastric bypass surgery long ago and should have had a bone scan by now but never asked for one. I'm going to call my GP to get one. Thanks

Yes, thanks Chesleyt. I have read that urolift does't always relieve symptoms for long. I'll look up button turp and compare it with the other methods. For the time being I'm taking Finasteride; at 1/2 dose currently. Next week I intend to change my trial medication and will try 6 weeks on another regime; I'm thinking of trying cyproterone again, at a low dose, to see how it compares to Finasteride. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
