Hello Everyone
Hi. I’m a 23 year-old gay guy just out of college. I came here because umm...I have no penis because it was severely damaged when I was circumcised as a baby. I also had surgeries as a kid to keep my urethra open and remove some painful tissue.
Lately, I’ve discovered that some guys want to have a penectomy. At first, I was I incredulous that someone would want to give up a fully-functioning penis. The more I’ve looked into this-partially on this site, I understand that body dysphoria (or simple preference) is legit. It’s the flip side of me sometimes wanting a penis even though I’ve never experienced it. I’ve also come to appreciate those who have their testicles removed. I’ve increasingly felt like I might consider it someday. I really like the idea of being smooth. I know there are LOTS of things to consider before doing anything. I haven’t consulted a therapist on that issue just yet.
Sorry about the long intro lol.

Re: Hello Everyone
Also...tbh, I just don’t have any opportunities outside of a counseling session to: (1) Admit that I’m different because of what I’m missing, and (2) Discuss the feeling of acceptance of my genitals, and finally (3) Explore some of these thoughts I’ve been having about having no balls as well.
That stuff is more recent even if the thoughts might have been just under the surface since maybe early puberty. I think in some way, maybe growing to accept that I was always different from the other boys, and that I’ll always be different from (most) men and being less angry about it has opened up other thoughts. Idk
That’s why I call myself “DifferentZach”.

Re: Hello Everyone
Welcome to the site Zach. I hope you find a lot of accepting people here. I for one am pursuing full nullification via surgery, started in December. I hit a major roadblock just yesterday but I'm going to try to get around it. Total smooth is the goal. Don't ever worry about being different.

Re: Hello Everyone
Welcome to the forum DifferentZach. As an infant I very nearly ended up like you, but they would have taken my balls as well. I was lucky enough to 'only just' keep my penis. Paradoxically I now have no balls or sack. I think you are a very special man to embrace that you are different. There are plenty that would admire you too. You will get all the support you have dreamed of here. This is an incredible group. From my experience having no nuts is not just a matter of T replacement. It is alot more complex than that. All the best and we look forward to your posts, to help as much as we can, Bryce

Re: Hello Everyone
Been meaning to say something for a couple of days, but just never did. I have enjoyed your postings. You seem to have thought a lot of things through pretty well, and have come to some intelligent, well thought conclusions. You must have had a good therapist and others who worked with you. Welcome aboard - I hope you stick around.
For what it is worth, I have always liked the name Zachary (Zach), and would like to have named one of my boys that. Probably fortunate, but Cindy named them Matthurin, Mikail, and Markus, and they are doing fine.
Again, welcome!
Krister

Re: Hello Everyone
Thank you kristoff, I have been fortunate in many respects. If I joined a few years ago, I’d probably be much more scattered, confused, and worried. Things are much better, but I still have moments when I just have to take a step back and consider the next step.
I’m confident the next step is to be castrated, so I’ll be asking a lot of questions and doing a lot of reading. Not having a penis is just the way things are, but those testicles are just in the way.
