Impotency cult?

Post by erikboy (imported) »

An Interesting thought crossed my mind.

Is an Impotency cult a part of our modern western society?

Only very narrow spectrum of sexual behaviour is accepted generally. Like marrying and having children.

The rest of spectrum can easily trigger so called sex scandals.

Or are we simply so poorly sexeducated?

I like your question. Not sure if I'm really responding to it or just talking laterally, but...

I do think one can generally look at Western society today and see elements of something like what the more radical folks might call a cult of impotency, or a feminization of society, or a neutering of the modern Male. It's usually seen as a result of de-gendering in schools (i.e., mere acceptance of trans kids equaling 'taking boyhood away from (other) boys", the opening of third bathrooms for those who identify differently than simply male or female, and the 'girlying' of male fashion, with boys and men wearing tights more often, or pink shirts.

It's both bullshit (because of its rarity) and somewhat true (I have seen these things, and if I'm honest, it turns me on, whether I morally approve or not).

It also makes me think how once you mentally castrate a society (either through complacency, as in late-Roman Rome citizens becoming to urbane, or more modern Japan after WWII), it can either collapse (as the Romans did*) or thrive non-militarily (Japan).

I think the latter because... honestly, would Japan have become the birthplace and home of pre-teen-looking-adults-style Anime if they weren't de-balled by the USA after the war?

I'm conflicted. I love the idea of a society where gender is chosen day by day with respect, where being male doesn't mean I have to fit in with the local rednecks, and where all forms of love are admired...

… and I also believe, strongly, that Homo Sapiens is not mature enough for this. There are far too many people in the world who hate, and I mean truly hate and will not tolerate, even talking about transgenderism or gay acceptance.

The USA got one President as a clear pendulum-swing away from the conservative Presidents. But the pendulum went into heaving paroxysms on its swing back the other way.

Humanity cannot yet survive real, actual equality of the sexes, acceptance of differences, or even full mixing of races.

We have to keep forcing these things upon ourselves, whenever we can. Maturity is painful, and us humans have a long, long way to grow before we can handle letting each other be ourselves.

* I know this is GROSSLY over-simplified and I'm leaving a million things unsaid. But it's late.

Transkids nor third gender bathrooms aren't a manifestation of impotency cult. It is rather transpeople becoming visible. They have always been with us. Only we did not know.

I do not know if de-genderization of schools is something that move us faster toward impotency cult. Well, there is a biological difference in boys and girls and there is a psychological difference. The way boys behave and what interest them more is different from girls. We have inherited that behavior and thinking patterns and differences in our brains from our mammal ancestors. It would be extremely stupid if we ignore that. And it looks like we do that. Some people think that girls and boys are equal. Yes, they are equal in rights. And must be! But they are different in what interests them. Some people then believe that this is because toxic masculinity that makes boys to wrestle and take interest in cars and general gender roles that is teached in them. If it was so, there were no transgenders no homosexuals. Who teached boys to become homosexual? Or who was that role model person in 1920 for Alan Turing? So I think it is not ok degenderize schools. Instead teachers should explain why boys like to wrestle and girls do not. And how at the same time stay/become an intelligent human, while having mammal instincts. Still, if some girl likes to play with cars, or a boy likes to wear pink dress, it should be considered as ok behaviour.

Has anyone of these gender equality people have thought, why 95% of criminals are men? Most of them young men? Were they teached? No inner urges?

Society is unable to direct male, especially young male force. Males NEED to have a purpose. Many males do not find purpose for them. If they don't find a purpose they fall into depression, feel useless and try to compensate with alcohol drugs or may be crime. Also in western societies males are more suicidal than females.

But of course it is easier to blame than to understand. And easier to force a male into impotence and submission than harness that lively potence.

Sexual education is based on faulty basement I think. For example we teach kids that man and woman fall in love, feel butterflies in their bellies and have kids. Then they happily live to the end of their days. Well, that is completely wrong. Physical love, when butterflies are in their bellies last only very little. It is a well studied phenomena - love. We are mammals after all. Then as butterflies vanished our ancestors left old partners and started to seek new ones, to feel these butterflies again in their belly. But we, humans are higher beings, with intellignce and free will. We can overcome situation of no butterflies in our bellies and enjoy benefits of staying together. Only this is not for everyone. I remember bad marriage cases among my own relatives and ancestors. the difference is that 100y ago women were forced to live with their husbands, while now they are not. So, people who idealize marriage, should remember these forced marriages with unhappy partners, especially women. Btw., in the past suicide rate among women was much higher than in men.

I think repressive religions do a lot of emasculating of men s natural sex drives and instincts. Modern culture is far too influenced by past religions that dominated cultures for far too long. Religion is admirable. But not when it needlessly fears good, healthy sex and human sexual pleasures and drives. Religion does not have to be anti sexual at all.

Monogamy is a completely artificial and anti male concept that clearly favors females at the expense of males. Its totally unnatural fr most males and unfairly hinders males natural desires for variety and novelty in sex and partners.

The fear of homosexuality is also anti male as most normal males do experience some curiousity and same sex desires that are villified beyond any reasoning.

Males are forced to hold off their reproduction longer and longer with fewer children encouraged while making young str8 sex dangerous and off limits. And if males turn to other males to avoid impregnating young females, society shrieks homosexual and bi sexual are evil.

If males ran sex for their own benefits, no sex would be considered bad or off limits to consent partners. And male breeding would be completely different from monogamy and from how females prefer to breed. And age would be no limit on sex, only physical ability to perform at any age.

Also, the agism of dirty old men stinks to any thinking person. As if only the young should enjoy sex ! If men are blessed with remaining highly sexual after most women have menopause, they are not dirty old men. As if reproduction is the only reason to enjoy sex. Older with with high sex drives are lucky, healthy men !

Sex to men is all about desire and ability. Not artificial restrictions like too young, too old, single, married, religions, monogamy, and all those false limits on men s natural sexual desires as healthy males of any age.

Lots of formerly pagen fertility cults were co opted and absorbed into different religions where fertility was given lip service while anti sexual rules and beliefs were forced onto people under the excuse that it was morality and that all sex was bad.

Hardly any of the main world s religions glorify or celebrate sex, much less encourage it in their members in the way males would love to start enjoying open sex at an early age, go full speed with no marriages or monogamy, and stay highly sexual with other sex partners after women their age have gone through menopause and lost interest in sex.

Most religions spend all their time and efforts placing limits on male sexuality and reducing the amount of time men breed or enjoy recreational sex.

A true fertility cult would encourage unlimited sex at all ages and no limits on impregnation by its members. Every ripe egg would be fertilized by its willing male members as the central theme of the religion with no limits on which males do that fertilizing.

I think we're pretty much have that on the south side of Chicago! Terrible idea, so many single women with half a dozen babies by half a dozen men. No responsibility by the men. Perhaps the polygamist ideal would be far better. At least then the Male has a responsibility to provide for the fruit of his loins.

As a Male who has raised 4 children, none of them my biological children, had many foster kids and am a youth group volunteer,I am sure I am not alone in my feelings of being very happy raising another Male's offspring. I am sure males like me could be an integral part of your cult.

In most of the animal world the males live to eat and breed. Or just get their rocks off when the females send out the scent that they're ripe for reproduction. In the case of the male in that situation he is simply responding to the indicators (scent) given off by the female. We can certainly see the similarities among the human species of animals. Difference being that the female seems to be able to send the signals at will rather than nature forcing bodily functions. And Cseriess eluded to that with the comment of "south side of Chicago" In that example the females often are simply sending signals in order to eventually have more gov't income to support her lifestyle. She doesn't really care one i-oh-ta about the offspring other than the economical benefit as a result. The evidence of that is seen everyday by the offspring basically being left on their own with no supervision nor care for by the mother. I'm not bigoted in these remarks just simply making obvious observations. And then that entire scenario ends up being repeated generation after generation because the offspring knows no different. The male in the human species is little different than the male on other animal species. Males are eating and breeding machines pure and simple. That doesn't change throughout the males life. Once age or other intervention takes place the male simply becomes an eating machine as with all other animal species until his end.

Begoneboy, I used to hold the same opinion about women with multiple children. Having volunteered in the field, I changed my opinion. One mom I was working with discussed birth control and getting her tubes tied while in hospital having her 6th child. She hadn't had much of an education, she had had an abusive childhood. She resorted to prostitution if she needed money for some big purchase, that included clothes and supplies for her children. She made a comment to me about how I would be soon disappearing from her life. When I asked her what she meant she explained that the only time anyone in her life showed any interest in her wellbeing is when she is pregnant. That was once of the saddest things I think I ever heard about or society.

Cseriess, While that comment has a certain amount of merit it surely speaks to a greater sadness of modern society. And that is we've created a society where one, it's totally dependent upon society for happiness and contentment. But the other, and even more crucial mark of society is the fact that we have raised a society which is all about "ME". In your example the young lady who was an obvious drain on society's economy is that her comment was indicative that she thinks society is all about serving her attention. IE: becoming pregnant at the expense of taxpayers she was gleaning the attention of others. And in her mind that was the only time anybody paid attention to her as she was saying that you "would soon be disappearing from her life." Since when has it become necessary for others to pay attention to oneself in order to be a productive member of society. And I'm sorry but continuing to bring more people onto the planet at the expense to the rest of society is not being a productive member of society. It is in fact counter-productive as it drains resources from society that could better be used for more important things. The argument that it is necessary to continue replenishing the species has fallen by the wayside with nigh unto 8 billion humans contaminating and raping every natural resource that nature has provided.

In the end we (each of us) need to be responsible for our own actions without placing a burden on others for our individual choices.
