Back pain

Post by Cseriess (imported) »

I have been trying to think how this happened. I am a fit, active guy. Several months ago I was just getting ready to go out and I bent over to pick something up and sneezed. It was like being hit in the hip bone with a pick axe! Several days in bed barely able to move, visit to the Dr, strong pain meds and a week of work. The pain has always remaind, but usually to unnoticeable. Levels. working with a physiotherapist now. At the same time I have had testicular pain in my right testicle. Up into abdomen like stich, and down my thigh. I know, I know! Lots of warnings on here about it, but I sometimes play with a bander. The day I had that first attack of pain, I had been banded for about 30 minutes. Recently I had the desire ( i would call it an emotional, mental and physical need) to be banded. The next day the pain in my back was as bad as that first attack. After doing some house painting this week, no banding, the pain in my back is back. The pain in my right testicle is also back. My question is, does anyone know or think this back pain could be caused by damage from the banding to a nerve, o,r as my physiotherapist says, I have a common back injury from sneezing whilst bent over.

I am dealing (I think) with a combination of sciatica and leg muscle issues. I am 72 and it seems 'too short leg muscles' are another blessing of age. Nine months ago I rolled out of bed and suddenly in excruciating pain could only crawl to the bathroom. Nobody seems to know for sure the cause. Probably from a chiropracter who peddles aggressive use of a foam roller. Probably it was the roller which caused a massive muscle strain from my rib cage to my knees which pulled my spine out of whack. I have spent 9 months and thousands of dollars on people who said they could help and couldn't. Nothings works but I am slowly getting better. I think I have two issues. One is sciatic nerve. Part of the problem is nerves. It feels like I have a current running thru a small wire in my lower back-gluts-upper leg area. The other part is muscular. It feels like my muscles are too short. Literally. If any of this sounds familiar, I'd be glad to send you some observations.

I would demand physical therapy from my MD. You will prob get a TENS unit for the siatica and acute back pain. Next comes one on one with a physical therapist for stretching and strengthening....

Lets get physical, physical....I wanna get physical, physical therapy....and screw the mental health, psychosexual therapy that's for the birds IMH(non professional)O

I ve heard drs claim that establishing pain signal pathways can lead to chonic pain that is very difficult to treat or cure.

Its possible that your banding super stimulated pain nerves that originate up in men s abdomens, where our testicles formed as infants in the womb. The testicles drop down into the scrotum before birth in most males. But our testicle s cords and nerves and blood circulation stay attached to our bodies way up inside the abdomen for life. That s why getting hit in our balls and ball busting pain travels up inside our abdomen to where our balls tie in to the rest of our body.

Banding pain might have stimulated other pain nerves inside your body in ways that are not understood.

I can t imagine there is no connection when banding clearly triggers those other pains in your body. There must be a connection somewhere. The pains feel too similar and occur too related to your banding to be unrelated.

Drs sometimes use strong pain killers to attempt to break or prevent the original formation of chronic pain pathways. Once those pain pathways are firmly established, they can be triggered into pain with less and less stimulation needed to create more and progressively more pain in some people.

Do you think you can satisfy your banding desires and goals with less painful ways of playing with your balls ? Trying that might stimulate your back pain less than banding seems to do.

Prior to your injury, did you carry your wallet in your back pocket? A common cause of sciatica

I injured my back prior to joining the service. Of course kept quite about that as well as the drugs and sexual escapades. Anyway, multiple Drs in the service did....nothing. After over 10 years of pain, and now working in the field, a wonderful ER doc sent me to physical therapy. There I learned how to care for and strengthen my back.

You got your back, figure it out.

You are supposed to do stretching exercises before working your way thru the Kama Sutra in one sitting, as it were. They couldn't even do anything for the rug burn on your knees?

Not at all...OMG being in a state of pure bliss the whole while, burns on the knees were of no concern.

Just thought I would update on this. I have had the same point of pain in my back since that first after banding incident. Same right testicle pain radiating into my groin, leg and back. Had inguinal hernia surgery that caused some long lasting testicular pain bruising and swelling in my right testicle beginning of this year. Anyway, I started cycling again recently, and I just realized the pain is significantly reduced! I wonder if the pressure on my perineum affects the nerves in my testicles and back?
