That is an assumption on your part with no correlating documentation of the connection between the side effect of shortness of breath, or causation of the side effect, of the two drugs mentioned.

Shortness of breath can be caused by any number of conditions first is as I mentioned, poor physical condition, COPD, congestive heart failure, and those are just a few. None of those conditions is caused by low Testosterone. However, low Testosterone is often associated with COPD and some recent research shows that TRT can sometimes help alleviate the symptoms of COPD.

My physical condition was excellent before I started. All blood parameters in norm except vitamin D. I started to take 2000 iu a day. Right away and that was a month before. Hemoglobin and red blood cells in normal range. I am physically active 4 times a week I take 10-15km walks. Or other more intense activities. Only last week I have been quite inactive as I've felt exhausted. Unable to force myself to move.

The fatigue and shortness of breath are very much related to use of androcur. These are reported side effects. Fatigue is sometimes, but not always, a side effect of testosterone deficiency. Shortness of breath is NOT a reported side effect of lack of T. You are dealing with the effects of androcur, not T deficiency.

My experience has been chemical castration was much harder to handle than surgical castration.

I was on Lupron and Casodex for 3 years. Hot flashes and fatigue were relentless. The fatigue was the worst, the most debilitating effect. Hot flashes were annoying, but sometimes a bit amusing. That experience ended 3 years ago. My testosterone recovered, and those side effects faded away slowly.

It has been my desire to eliminate testosterone for multiple reasons, medical and otherwise, but was concerned about diving back into those side effects again. Finally, the desire overwhelmed my concerns, and thus finally I went ahead with surgical castration about 2 months ago.

So far I'm pleased to report hot flashes are minimal, and fatigue has been no worse than normal. And with low dose estrogen (0.5 mg buccally twice/day), hot flashes have stopped and I feel just fine. Better than before, even. I no longer am concerned about the testosterone enabling a cancer recurrence, and the asexuality it is affording me is a desirable outcome. Not for most, probably, but for me it is wonderful

So in general, with some modest E replacement, surgical castration has been really satisfactory and much easier to tolerate than chemical castration.

What Tripto and Androcur do not describe as a side effect is testicular atrophy. Which is actually quite common.

What is said about Androcur:

Shortness of breaths: Shortness of breath may occur under high-dosed treatment with Androcur. This may be due to the stimulatory effect of progesterone and synthetic progestogens on breathing, which is accompanied by hypocapnia and compensatory alkalosis, and which is not considered to require treatment.
