The Price of Gas

The Price of Gas

You Think A Gallon Of Gas Is Expensive?

Makes one think, and puts things in perspective :

Diet Snapple .... 16 oz $1.29 ....... $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea ... 16 oz $1.19 ....... $ 9.52 per gallon

Gatorade ........ 20 oz $1.59 ....... $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray ..... 16 oz $1.25 ....... $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid ..... 12 oz $3.15 ....... $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil ... 6 oz $8.35 ...... $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol .... 4 oz $3.85 ...... $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout ........ 7 oz $1.39 ....... $25.42 per gallon

Scope .......... 1.5 oz $0.99 ....... $84.48 per gallon

and this is the REAL KICKER......

Evian water 9 oz for $1.49 ........ $21.19 per gallon.

$21.19 FOR WATER! ....and the buyers don't even know the source. Yes, and the name Evian, is Naive turned around, and the Canadians are selling it by the millions of gallons to the US.

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, or God forbid, PEPTO BISMOL or NYQUIL!!!!

Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the pump...........!

the only people who DON'T believe this is about the oil are the people who are glued to talk radio.

Myanmar is run by a guy worse than Saddam. So is Sudan. So is North Korea. But they don't have oil.

it's all about the oil.

a lot of good people are going to die for Haliburton.

Hey Max,

Of course it's about the oil, but it's not about any one particular person or company profiting obscenely from it. The Western economy runs on the stuff, and unless we all want to be standing in bread lines for the next decade or so, it behooves us to make sure it can still flow. Leaving ourselves vulnerable to some thug who would use it as a means of extortion would be just plain dumb.

...the oil is something that you cannot overlook but this is more than "just oil", Max.

Oil has made nations in the Middle East very, very wealthy. It is their resource and we should be paying a fair price for it.

What you are overlooking is that when Saddam invaded Kuwait HE did it to get their oil. HE is the one who wants to get the control of the Middle Eastern oilfields, so that he can hold the economies of the world hostage.

HE would not stop at Kuwait, HE would have went on into Saudi Arabia and whatever other country that had oil reserves. HE would have then parlayed the stolen wealth into military power.

Soon you would have seen him hold the free world hostage and terrorism would have been his persuasion method of choice. Most likely, NUCLEAR TERRORISM to be specific.

No, Max, it is NOT just about the oil.

What it is about is another mortal man's dream of world conquest. The oil is just a playing card that is valuable to accomplish Saddam's unquenchable need for power and to subjugate humanity.

I am surprise that a man of your intelligence has to have this pointed out to him.

I think that you could have a terminal case of "MOLLY IVAN'S" Syndrome.

Of course, it doesn't have to be terminal. It could also be just a mild case of cranio-rectal inversion resulting in a shitty outlook.

It is according how quickly that you recover as to what is your true diagnosis.

You need to expand your thoughts and liberalize you outlook to be tolerant of other viewpoints to facilitate your mental health. ;)

Yes. You are correct.

Max, I am so sorry. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ

I feel so strongly about this guy, Saddam, and you feel strongly about George W., which is alright, that we have been butting our heads perhaps a little too hard. That, is not alright.

The thing here is, Saddam is the evil(est) of two lessers. ๐Ÿ˜ก

He really must go. And...he currently has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peeling.

The guy in N. Korea is all blow. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ He will eventually calm down. His main problem, in my estimation, is that he is scared to death. Our war manuvers in S. Korea are not acting to calm his paranoia. :redbounce

George W. has let slip the dogs of war. I believe that he can control them and I believe that he will control them, but the Middle East has many Americans still seeing red over 9-11-2001.

The best thing that I can tell you is that this segment of our society all seem to have the same attitude of Slim Pickens, the actor, demonstrated in the movie Dr. Strangelove.

They don't give a damn about living, dying, consequences or anything else. They are ready to ride that damned bomb in and to hell with the consequences. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

It takes a lot to get America to this point, and I hope that it is a lesson that the Middle East (collectively) does not soon forget. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

This thing must run its course. The heartland of America is pissed off and this will not stop until the pound of retribution is acquired. There is little that can change that course in the short term.

In the long term we need to start working with our Congress to make sure that it stops in the Middle East after Baghdad falls. At this rate, that will probably be sometime next week. ๐Ÿคท

What makes me aggrivated the most is that the Iraqis just don't understand that there just will be no street fighting in Baghdad. This bravado that they demonstrate is plain suicidal.

If small arms fire comes from a building such as was the case in South Viet Nam, there will be no house to house fighting. They will simply call in an air strike and there will simply be no more house.

I am telling you guys, this time the armed forces are not just f***ing around. Anybody who takes a pot shot at them is DEAD MEAT.

I do not know how to make this clear to you people. This is some serious shit. The media is being controlled and this is going to have one and only one outcome. Saddam is going to be gone, if he is not dead already. Sooner or later they will get binLauden, too.

Anybody who gets in the way is in deep, deep trouble. The angst goes back clear to the fall of Siagon. That is how deep the collective psychic wound is. When the BIG MOUTHS in the Middle East started with the Viet Nam bullshit, they for all intent purposes, sealed their own fate.

I repeat, they are DEAD MEAT.

Sorry, I wish that I could say something more encouraging, but I cannot. :(

We are dealing with an element in America who sent Anthrax to Senator Dashele and the Supreme Court, just to state a few. They did this just to get the "Patriot Law" into place. Now that they have that they will bankrupt whoever gets in their way with legal bills. ๐Ÿ™‡

But you know what? While I do not, no, I am in fact apalled, at their methods, I, however, understand their point. While the end here can never justify the means, the means will get the job done. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

I hope that the invasion of Iraq is the end of it...but I worry. โ“
