Castration this week

Post by Chesleyt (imported) »

I'm going under the knife again they remove my right testicle January 10 and will be removing the left one Thursday this week I can't wait for it to be done. I never want to be a man or woman since I was 2 years old all I want is to be a eunich. I would like to be a complete nullo with no prostate or penis root left and get off all TRT therapy I just want to be free of all the control of testosterone. I know I would be happy. The only thing I don't like is the hot flashes I've tried going without testosterone and they were bad I've heard very low dose estrogen would take care of that but I'm afraid feminization I still am a male and want to keep it that way. So does anyone know what I would have do to achieve that I've heard that guy's with prostate cancer and on hormone deprivation therapy are given low dose estrogen to help with the side effects is anyone here doing that? I'm going through the process of having precancerous cells in my prostate that was found when they did a biopsy last April and just found out that I had precancerous cells when Cleveland clinic sent me an article about atypical small ancir proliferation until then I didn't know that it was precancerous condition so any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I hope your surgery is as simple and uncomplicated as those who have gone before you. It seems you have given this considerable thought and are as sure as possible it’s the right decision for you

While you may be getting the cart before the horse don't despair. It'll still be a while for your body to become accustomed to no "T" production from testes. However, our bodies produce hormones from other glands as well. Even a cist female's body produces "T" to some extent. The best policy is to trust an endocrinologist for advice on hormone meds. From experience, the smallest dose of "E" taken a couple times a week will not feminize your body while at the same time help in keeping up bone density and other things as well as keeping hot flashes in check. It is when we overdose ourselves with the chemical that feminization begins.

I've had my testicles removed because of decease and they're dead. I'm on trt right now but would like to get off of it because of prostate issues. I went without it when I had the first testicle removed in January and experienced hot flashes and started taking it again. Recently found out that I have a precancerous condition in my prostate and am afraid of it turning into cancer so I would like to stop testosterone and try low dose estrogen instead but I still have to talk to my urologist because I might be over reacting. I will be asking for a new biopsy to be done and will proceed from there.

Not Testosterone or DHT leads to prostate cancer... it is Estrogen (E2).

Don't use it in this case!

On low normal dosage of T you don't risk growing prostate and also prevent cancer, because DHT has normally an protection function there.

Only, if cancer is active growing, killing of T => DHT+E2 is helpful any time.

What do you mean lower normal dose of T? Your T is lowered as treatment for PS. So after castration its ok to go back on low dose T to control negative side effects of no T? I am seeing a urologist Friday to discuss plans and options.

I'm a high converter of testosterone to estrogen I've had this problem ever since before I start TRT. I'm having my surgery tomorrow to remove my remaining testicle. I still haven't heard anything from the endocrinologist if they are going to take me this is the second one that hasn't gotten back to me. I'm going to call them and see why.

Best wishes for the best result.

TRT is slow-moving stuff. (And often so, it seems, are the prescribers of it!)

I'm feeling anxious tonight I'm not going to be the same anymore I know I need to get this done it's deceased and I'm in constant pain but it's been like that for 31 years the one they already removed feels amazing I have no pain at all and I know I will never have to go through getting infections all the time again it's just the first one I didn't know he was going to remove it and I had only one day before surgery to think about it and I had so many complications after surgery and the pain never stopped so I'm afraid of going through that again. I know it's not likely to happen again but it's still there in the back of my mind. 14 hours left until I have to be at the hospital I hope I can get some sleep tonight.
