Hello everyone! My name is Matt. I had an orchiectomy back in 2004 done by Dr Murray Kimmel. Best decision I ever made in my life. Glad to have joined this forum. It is very nice to be able to go somewhere & find people you connect with and have something in common with. Looking forward to many good experiences here.

Well speaking of 15 years my 15th anniversary is today. I had the orchiectomy done on February 25, 2004. Very special day indeed. Every year since I was castrated I always acknowledge the date. Can't believe it has been that long. I remember it like yesterday. First finding out about it on a guy's website. His name was Tomas and he went by the nic Eunuch Tom. The very next day I called Dr Kimmel and got the ball rolling. Scheduled the appointment, airline flight, and hotel arrangements during the next week. Just one week after that I flew to Philly and got it done. Very fun experience. I'll always treasure it. Just had a couple of mishaps. I had to switch planes in Dallas. That huge airport has 2 buildings and the American Airlines I had to fly on was in the other building than the one I was in so I had to take a shuttle there. Almost missed my flight but barely made it. Then when I got to Philly the cab that took me to the hotel was rear ended. The cab driver went ballistic, got out, almost got into a fight with the person who rear ended us. Well they finally settled everything and finally got to the hotel. Whew! Had to fly from Amarillo to Dallas to Chicago to Philly. Got the cheapest deal on that zigzag flight. Well it was a very gloomy afternoon in Philly. Overcast with a light drizzle. Called Dr Kimmel to let him know I arrived. The next day I walked over to his office on a cold windy morning. Finally arrived at my destination! He talked with me for about an hour and then started prepping by giving me a couple of shots in each hip. After a bit I lied down and he went to work. Showed me each testicle after he removed it. The 2nd one being removed was the more important one that made it official. That was it. Mission accomplished. I was officially a eunuch. Worth every bit of effort. Had to stay in Philly for 4 more days to recuperate and then flew back home. Dr Kimmel was so great. Too bad he's not still alive. I would fully recommend him to anyone. I heard there is another doctor in Philly who does orchiectomies. A woman. More and more are popping up and that's good. People seem to have a better understanding now than 15 years ago. Castration SHOULD be easily accessible. A person has the right to do what they want with their own bodies. Well that is my story. Sorry if I rambled on too long. Everyone take care and really want to get to know as many as possible on this forum and have some good discussions and help people who need this.

Re: Newbie
Thanks for a great rundown of how you got your surgery. You must have wondered if fate was trying to stop you on the trip to get cut. That many near misses would make any man think it over.
I m amazed you acted so quickly on your desire. Most men think about getting castrated for a long time before they do it. Do you have any idea of why this idea so quickly became a confident decision for you ? Did have have a lifetime of experience castrating livestock or being exposed to castration that prepared you to make such a life changing decision and act on it so quickly ? Any idea of why this idea first appealed to you so strongly after reading about it ?
I think lots of other men thinking about getting themselves castrated will find hearing about other men s decision making process and how you went about getting the surgery completed, as detailed in your post above, to be very interesting and helpful to them.
What goals or desires first caused you to want to be gelded ? Did the surgery get you what you wanted from it ?
Thanks for a very interesting post. Glad to hear you are enjoying joining all those herds of Texas panhandle steered cattle as a genuine Texas man eunuch. Looking back on 15 years of satisfaction from your fast decision to get castrated is proof that some men can make the right decision very quickly.

Re: Newbie
Hi. thanks for the great post. What were your reasons for castration? How has your health been over the 15 years? Are you on any hrt? I am rather confused by the range of experiences on here. From not really experiencing any physical changes, to becoming very feminized. Having tried chemical castration, and struggled with one side effect in particular, the others were totally livable with, I feel close to having surgery, although I have postponed it twice now because I just didn't feel 100% sure.

Re: Newbie
cutnbulls2ox, yeah I think fate intervened some but I said screw you fate lol. No I was pondering castration for decades actually. I had been to numerous doctors and mental health specialists. They all just gave me the runaround. This had been going on for almost 20 years so it wasn't really a quick decision. I just happened to stumble on a eunuch's website and found out about Dr. Kimmel. It was like a light all of a sudden went on. Dr. Kimmel would do the surgery with no questions asked. Boom! That was it. The very next day I got the ball rolling by calling his office and the rest is history. Yeah I have achieved the desired effects. No sex drive to speak of and a tremendous loss of body hair. Also softer and smoother skin. What else? More calm and less aggression. I have had some electrolysis done. Currently I am having the rest of my beard removed. Just have to be patient. The upper lip is very touchy but I'm grinding it out. BTW I'm not transitioning into a woman. Just hate hair thats all. Hope that answered your questions and concerns but if you have more please let me know. This is very important for men who need castration. It might even be a matter of life and death in some cases.

Re: Newbie
Cseriess, my reasons for castration were basically my hatred for testosterone. It was a foreign substance in me that was completely unnatural and abnormal. Sex drive, body hair, aggression. You name it. My health has been fine and I do take 1 mg of estrogen every 4 days to prevent hot flashes from occurring. They weren't particularly severe but were a nuisance at times. I would feel a little feverish and sweat some especially in warm weather but the Estrofem prevents them entirely. I have definitely experienced physical changes - loss of sex drive, body hair, aggression, softer and smoother skin. I wouldn't say I am super feminized. My breasts have increased a little but that's about all. If you're close to deciding surgery I know it's a tough decision. This is your life we're talking about. Don't do it until you're 100% positive. Meanwhile stick with the chemical castration. What side effect are you bothered with? Are you taking estrogen, medroxyprogesterone, spironolactone, etc? Which one? I'm sure you can find one with no side effects. I know estrogen can cause vision problems when taken at a certain dose. Thats no fun at all. Anyway let me know so i can be of help.

Re: Newbie
Hello mattman59 and welcome aboard the freedom train to better health and congrats on following your desire through to success. Naturally you are in great company here and have a lot of valuable experience to share with those searching and not 100% sure of what they want to do with their lives. On many levels I wish I had limited my estrogen intake over the years as you managed to do for all the side effects you've avoided. But alas, I am who I am and just could not stand the thought of re-introducing that nasty (for me) testosterone again into my body. My nullification was a good decade before yours and I am also so thankful for stumbling across this forum. It has been an eye opener full of great information and a wonderful place to simply share.
