Tumblr - Two more way to Access "Hidden" blogs

OK, This will be my last post about tumblr. Yahoo bought it, they own it and they screwed it up. It's done.

I posted how to use tumblthree to download every pic from a hidden blog (if the blog is still there, but the pics or the whole blog is hidden). That works fine, but you'll end up with every image ever posted on that blog and the only way to sort or cull them is after you've downloaded all the images.

So, I looked around and there are another ways to see hidden or deleted blogs.

FOR HIDDEN BLOGS:

tumbex.com will still crawl the hidden posts and show you the entire blog. That way you can just download the images, vids, posts, etc that you want.

Just open tumbex and put the blog name in the second box labeled "Explore a tumblog:"

You'll only need the first part of the URL such as, verylowcirc, or malegenitalmodsgalore, don't put the entire URL.

If the blog is only hidden, then you'll see all the posts listed.

Since it's a web crawler, it will take a few seconds to retrieve all the images.

FOR DELETED BLOGS:

http://archive.is/

It's not perfect. But, if you have a favorite image or story you just need to have, it sometimes has an archive of the tumblr.

On archive.is you'll need to put the entire URL to search.

Please don t stop giving out such good advice about saving tumblr blog contents. It took years of manhours to post all those countless photos. The more that can be saved, the better. Many bloggers are still looking for ways and websites to save their own contents.

I used TumblRipperV3.0 to download all my images from my Tumblr blog into a local folder on my PC.

I am slowly posting them to a blog on Bdsmlr.com who are putting together a similar platform for such posts.
