All my surgery went ahead last weekend. Went very well and now I'm starting the recovery process! I think I'll be starting Estrofem once I'm fully healed.
Im curious to see if I notice any new effects, going from chemically castrated to surgically castrated
For me, within about 3 months or so, the night sweats started and got quite bad. I'd wake up with all the bedding soaked. Over the next six months or so, they got a little better but not stopped. Found out my thyroid was not doing it's job so my PCP put me on Synthroid and things got a little better again. He said I had too many risk factors for TRT and although I'd said I'd had an Orchiectomy on my information form, I don't think he ever read it or knew I'd been castrated.
I finally ordered some topical Testosterone cream from an overseas pharmacy and started using that, about 5mg per day and they night sweats and hot flashes gradually stopped. I'd not had any issues with either of those before the surgery and I'd been taking 300mg Cyperatone per day. My Testosterone levels got really low but did not technically reach castrate levels. Now they are pretty much rock bottom and if I quit taking it, it only takes about 3 or 4 days for the nasties' start showing up again.
Remember that we're all different so your experiences may or may not, be similar.
Hope that helps.
