This week I'll be on 75mg daily, then for the two weeks after that, I'll be on 50mg, then finally in 4 weeks time I'll be on 25mg

i guess there's no point taking it once my balls are gone.... so I'm going to have a huge stash of Androcur to get rid off/sell!

Wishing you the very best of luck for the 27th, I hope that all goes well for you and you're satisfied with the result.

I'd like to start the bidding for your huge stash of Androcur at £10..!

:D

All my surgery went ahead last weekend. Went very well and now I'm starting the recovery process! I think I'll be starting Estrofem once I'm fully healed.

Im curious to see if I notice any new effects, going from chemically castrated to surgically castrated

Congratulations!

I'll be interested to hear if you notice much difference between physical and chemical castration.

For me, within about 3 months or so, the night sweats started and got quite bad. I'd wake up with all the bedding soaked. Over the next six months or so, they got a little better but not stopped. Found out my thyroid was not doing it's job so my PCP put me on Synthroid and things got a little better again. He said I had too many risk factors for TRT and although I'd said I'd had an Orchiectomy on my information form, I don't think he ever read it or knew I'd been castrated.

I finally ordered some topical Testosterone cream from an overseas pharmacy and started using that, about 5mg per day and they night sweats and hot flashes gradually stopped. I'd not had any issues with either of those before the surgery and I'd been taking 300mg Cyperatone per day. My Testosterone levels got really low but did not technically reach castrate levels. Now they are pretty much rock bottom and if I quit taking it, it only takes about 3 or 4 days for the nasties' start showing up again.

Remember that we're all different so your experiences may or may not, be similar.

Hope that helps.

Hmm I've had the experience of waking up soaked with sweat... but I never knew if it was a hot flush or not.... plus I've never experienced that during the day time. Weird.

Changed my bandage today. Everything looks okay, no redness or signs of infection, just a bit swollen.

It it looks like a few of the stitches at the top of my cock are cutting into the skin and there's little gaps... not sure if I should be worried about that or not...

So it's been two weeks since my operation and I'm healing quite well. My remaining stitches were removed yesterday so now it's just w case of letting nature do its magic!

ive not really noticed anything different compared to when I was chemically castrated... which isn't really a surprise.

Im hoping my breathlessness dies down... but right now I get out of breath just as easily as before.

Cant wait to be 100% healed!

Hey, WannaBeSmall, glad to hear you're progressing well. As you've noted, we have the same "eunuch birthday"! My stitches are still in place, one seems to have come out. Did your doctor suggest removing them now? My doc tells me to just wait them out.

I don't like them, since they feel a little pinchy.

Heya! My doc advised 7-10 days, but I ended up waiting 2 weeks. I first removed around half of the stitches, then I wanted a couple of days and removed the rest. I think that was about the right time as they were starting to embed themselves into my skin. Also the pain reduction once they were out, was a great relief!

One month on and I just have a tiny spot that needs to heal over. Woo! The scar line is still numb and I can feel some hard lumps either side... but there's virtually no pain now

Low-T and estrofem/progesterone are a wonderful combination. Not only am I developing a lovely set of breasts but my memory has improved vastly. I'd noticed a big drop in short-term memory and lost a lot of spatial awareness and felt mentally dull in general. It all seems to be coming back rapidly. It's so dramatic that I can't be imagining it. Castration and taking female hormones is definitely the path for me.

Got my blood test results back today:

Testosterone: 0.39 nmol/L

Sex Hormone Binding Globulin: 71.00 nmol/L

Oestradiol: 43.00 pmol/L

Free Androgen Index: (too low to calculate)

im actually surprised my Testosterone levels are at the same level as when I was on Androcur... it really feels like it's gone up lately (hair is growing back). Anyway I'm happy with the result. I'm assuming the high SHBG is normal for someone in my state...!?

will be starting Estrofem (finally!) tomorrow. 1mg in the morning and one in the evening. I'll post weekly updates and I'll most likely get another blood test done in a months time
