Therapist Recommendation

Hey all!

I've been thinking about castration since I was about 16. I've wanted it for myself since then(I'm 27). That being said, I don't want to just go to a urologist that doesn't require a mental health professional's letter of approval, and a cutter or self castration is completely off the table for me. So I'm looking for a therapist recommendation, either somewhere in northeast/central Pennsylvania, or one that will do phone or internet sessions.

Let me be clear, I'm not necessarily looking for a therapist to just write me a letter. I'm looking simply for a good therapist who CAN write a letter, but is thorough. This is a big decision, and while I feel very certain I want it, I'd like to get the input of a professional.

Therapists are plentiful, but good ones less so.

I found mine by a websearch and personal meeting with ones within range, to decide on one.

You probably won't get far with searching for castration, but often the skills needed are found with the LGBT community. Social groups such as LGBT-friendly churches can sometimes provide a lead. Good luck with the search.

I found searching for therapists who work with transgender patients, who are NOT themselves transgendered, worked out well. My concerns finding one who is Transgendered is they may have a very binary way of looking at gender, and may discredit the idea you wish to be a eunuch.
