I became a eunuch yesterday.

I had a left radical orchiectomy age 14 for a testicular teratoma. I have three children. I was found to have a benign Leydig cell tumor in the right testicle in 1996 (treated with "testicle sparing" surgery). I had ongoing very annoying testicular pain in the right one post-op. This pain was not responsive to medical treatment and in 2012 i was found to have low testosterone as well. This is managed with three monthly depot testosterone.

After putting up with ongoing pain from a testicle that had given me three kids and no longer produced testosterone, I decided to get the testicle removed for improved comfort. Yesterday i had a right radical orchiectomy and officially became a complete eunuch.

I am thrilled to have entered this group and look forward to your/my input.

Excellent. I hope you enjoy being without your testicles as much as I do. Let us know how it goes for you as you get further from your surgery.

Thanks. I love the look of my new groin and have less pain only one day post-removal. I have had 14 years with two, 46 years with one and now the rest of my life with none. i have struggled with my testicles most of my life and now look positively to my new state and to teling my story on this site.

A warm welcome. Yours for medical reasons, same as me. When you know, in your heart, a part of your body is broken beyond repair, the relief to be rid of it is hard to describe. All the best

Four days ago I had a plastic surgeon perform a total scrotectomy on me. The procédure went well but is too early to comment on its effect. Certainly the absence of all the loose scrotal skin is a bonus but there is too much bruising to assess all the effects properly. I expect the bruising will décline over the next 4-6 weeks so i will give a proper opinion then.
