Androcur not working as well as I would like
I have now been on androcur and temoxoflin for 5 months. For the most part I am loving it, but I don't think it is quite as effective as I would like. I still have sexual desires and spontaneous erections. Not nearly as often as I used to, but still more than I would like. I've tried upping the dosage and it doesn't seem to help. One piece of advice I keep getting is to go ahead and get surgical castrated. My plan was to give it a year on the meds before making any plans for surgery. I'm wondering if that is really my only option or if I should try something else first.
Any and all advice is welcome.

Re: Androcur not working as well as I would like
I'd like to point out that there's no guarantee surgery will offer better results. I'm approaching 4 months of surgical castration and I still get stiff morning wood at least once a week whilst masturbating 5 times per week. Although... I'm only 22, I don't have spontaneous erections during the day without accompanying stimuli, and I can abstain very easily. I might even say I have no sexual desires, but enjoy the stress relief, exercise, and natural sleep aid offered by petting my turtle.
Check your T levels. That could help you figure out how well Androcur is actually working. If they're as low as expected, then there's less chance surgical castration will do better.

50mg androcur (I have pushed that up to 100mg a couple of times) and 10mg temoxoflin (up to 20mg)

Many have to use 150 mg of androcur for 2-3 weeks before dropping to 100mg. Don’t lower dosage until you get the result you want.

I will give that a try. How long can that be maintained before there are health risks?

Get your T levels tested. You can get a kit through the mail, it's easy.

In the UK there is an online site that does finger prick hormone profile tests.
"Medichecks" I think they are called.
I would guess they or someone similar would be operating in the States as well.

There are several finger prick/saliva tests on Amazon where you mail in the results. There are also several websites where you pay online and then go to a lab. I can't afford any of 'em.
