3rd anniversary of my double orchi is today.
Nothing earth shattering, just taking notice of a very notable event in my life. I was castrated by my urologist in a local hospital on Sept. 3, 2015, three years ago today. I chose no TRT because I was warned of the increased possibility of stroke and/or heart attack. Per my PCP I do take two 600 mg calcium capsules daily. I had a good bone scan in 2016 and I'm due for another now. I've lost some muscle tone and it's easier to tear up about sentimental issues like thinking about my parents but I don't automatically "turn on the water" at "chick flicks". My libido is totally non-existent and I couldn't be happier about it, especially when I think about all the time I wasted searching for new ways to deal with it. I'm sure not all would agree but the absence of a libido has made me a better Christian now that I no longer have that to deal with that conflict. I probably would feel different about it if I was younger but I was 71 when I became a eunuch and I have no regrets.
I still check EA occasionally but don't log on very often and post even less because it's something that I no longer think about as often as I once did. But I see that the capable guys running this site and long time members are still around. That's a good thing. Best wishes to all at EA.

Re: 3rd anniversary of my double orchi is today.
Congratulations on your third anniversary. I may be only a few months from castration following CaCl2 injections (I hope) and would love to be able to live happily without T. I also love having no libido. With me it wasn't so much of a moral issue as feeling tormented by sexual thoughts I came to hate. Such a waste of time and energy. Since I started chemical castration, the loss of libido has allowed me to devote much more of my life to productivity in my job, nurturing friendships and loving my wife. Sex is probably a thing of the past but we remain very close and do a lot of cuddling. Couldn't be happier!
