I did some more research and found out the it is Gabapentin not Sertraline that helps with hot flashes. 5 days now... still no hot flashes.

This is day 7. Still a little sore. Still no flashes. I am still spotting blood a little on the left incision but I am a smoker and I am sure that has slowed my healing some. Big suggestion for new eunuchs... be sure and remember to order a couple of Suspensory Sportaid in some form. It needs to hold the bandage on the incisions gently and keeps your sack from moving around. You don't want your sack moving around, man. The Suspensory Sportaid also allows you to pee without having to disturb your bandages.

I am taking a multi-vitamin, D3 and Calcium. Any suggestions on the Dosages?

I don't desire to feminize so I am going to wait about 3 months to allow time enough for healing and such and then go to a new doc, current dr. and I don't see eye to eye on the sense of urgency about my PSA levels. I want to head off osteoporosis and gynecomastia. Anyone else taking anything for this?

I have a problem with too much SHBG and so I take a drug named danazol it reduces SHBG and allows more Free T. I’ve read that it can help with osteoporosis if you don’t do HRT. My guess is that since your body will still produce some low level of T if most of it’s free then it’s still enough to support bone health.

I’m not sure all Drs will know about this. This drug is considered an androgen so you may not be able to take due to PSA

Tamoxifen is the standard drug treatment to fend off gynecomastia. Not 100% effective, but helps many people. It blocks estrogen from the breast tissue somehow.

Low dose estradiol patches are sometimes used to reduce hot flashes and to help prevent osteoporosis, a couple significant side effects of no testosterone.

To be on permanent "hormone therapy" through surgery, may I assume your prostate cancer recurred after the original surgery? What PSA trend or scans led you to this decision?

Thx Varys, but there is a conflict with Zoloft. I am looking into other options and have found a couple. Going to go to Dr. soon and compare notes.

It has been about a month and a half now. I do have mild hot flashes now. My cords are no longer sensitive to the touch. They are lumps now on either side of my penis. They don't really affect me either way really. I have read about some guys have had a big issue with hematomas... I was very fortunate to have healed as quickly as I did, being that I am a smoker.

Its good to hear you are doing well. I got mild flushes daily after about 1 month off TRT but non of the mental nightmares some folks talk about.
