If you don’t mind me asking what physical effects have you noticed? Skin, Fat Pattern, Similarities to nova dick?. Both estrogenic and anti-estrogenic should have effects if unopposed.

Skin definitely softer, lost some muscle. Fat pattern doesn't seem to have changed a whole lot aside from just being softer in general. Lost a lot of body hair. My face is a little fuller but nothing huge. Aside from one nipple a couple weeks ago, no soreness or growth.

I hope I can safely revive that thread (not THAT old lol), but I'm also considering a low dose Androcur trial. I've been thinking a lot about sexuality and gender identity recently and now I'm pretty sure that I don't want to be completely asexual, at least not for a prolonged time. I do enjoy the ocasional masturbation or sexual intercourse - but not four times a day with constant sexual thoughts and urges that feel like they don't belong to me (sorry, if I can't explain it better, but the essence of it is that I'm nonbinary/genderqueer and my male sex drive as it currently is just feels wrong to me).

So I've searched the forums but did not really find a satisfying answer regarding low doses of Androcur. From what I've read it's basically:

You take "enough" CPA (might vary on individuals, can be as high as 150 mg or as low as 25 mg daily, also depends on other drugs and hormones taken) and you get to castrate levels hormone-wise, which means for most very low libido and no sexual function (and possibly all sorts of unwanted sideeffects like low energy etc.)

You take a very low dose and you get not measurable result at all

Is this observation correct?

@modernist: are the 25 mg daily giving you the "full" chemical castration effect or is it actually possible to get partial effects with this drug?

I appreciate any views and input (ask me questions if you want or PM me, I'm actually much more comfortable talking about my gender identity now). Also, yes I know, I can probably control my testosterone best if I get surgical castration and just choose the amount of T I take, but this is not a realistic option for me on the short to mid time scale, so I'm aware of that, but don't need any more information on that route

However, anyone having experience with low dose of Antiandrogens feel free to share your opinion on the matter. As always, I'm aware I don't get a professional medical advice here, just looking for your personal experience and understand that YMMV (on a sidenote, I'm actually looking for a GP to have someone watch over my blood/liver etc. and maybe get referred to some other specialist like endocrinologist/psychologist/gender-specialist, but this all takes a looooong time, so I'd rather get some input from you aswell and do some DIY testing).

Hi tobi24876 , I had gotten myself permanently chemically castrated by staying on 25 mg Androcur and 10 mg Tamoxifen (which is similar to raloxifene functioning as an anti-estrogen). Together, my genitals shrank (permanently by over 1 inch) and erections were all but gone. My libido was so low I did not need any release for as long as once every 3 months. And I learned to getting to climax while my penis remained totally soft and just slightly engorged. After about 4 years on this dosage, I had to stop due to the side effects of low testosterone. Fully 10 years after stopping, my genitals remained low. My testosterone (tested) remained at castration level. I fact, I am now on a low dose testosterone replacement treatment because I have developed osteopenia (a precursor to osteoporosis) and depression.

tobi24876 , The key to achieving the castration effects with low dose Androcur was the combination with Tamoxifen or Raloxifene, and not taking Androcur alone. I did try taking Androcur alone at the beginning. I went as high as 200 mg/day and still didn't achieve complete loss of libido. Once I added Tamoxifen, I was able to slowly reduce Androcur dosage down to a sustaining level of 25 mg.

thanks for your input! To clarify, I currently do not seek complete elimination of my libido, I just want it lowered and possible achieve a more androgynous look.

I'm currently on 12 mg Androcur, started a month ago. The effects so far are really gentle compared to the 100 mg dose I tested for a short time. But I do feel much better, my libido feels lower, but is still there, just much less bothersome. I can easily go a few days without masturbation now. My skin spots are gone aswell and I might be a bit more emotional, but not sure about that.

Almost no sideeffects apart from not being able to sleep as long as I used to, I usually wake up an hour earlier, but it's not that bad. No extraordinary tiredness yet.

Since you've taken Tamoxifen, do you know whether one can achieve some facial feminisation with it? Because that's what I would really want, but no breast growth, so estrogen is not a good idea for me, especially if my T is lowered it would probably kick in hard.

Tamoxifen is selective to breast tissue so if you take Estrogen with it, it should prevent breast growth.

I would also be interested in trying a very low dose Androcur, around 5mg, would that work reducing T only to some degree to have less sexual emotions but at the same time being safe of other side effects?

Could a very low dose of E be added to try and have a "balance" between T and E?

I would urge more research before loading your liver with Androcur, estrogen and Tamoxifen. I myself have never heard that combining estrogen and Tamoxifen could achieve facial feminization without breast growth.
